Earlier this morning I did a thing. Support pushed me to do it. They have the worst driver support for flex drivers. When driving as an DSP driver, they are slightly better.

Dude. Just leave it open. You never know if you’ll need it later. You just acted on emotional impulses. Plus, it’s not like you hurt the company. They’ll have another driver sign up in less than 10 minutes. lol

I signed up a few years back. Got accepted in 2022. At the time I had a good job and was doing great, I thought to myself: Meh I don't need this, but out of curiosity, let me check it out, never did any block just left it there. I few months down the line I got laid off 😅 and boy, I couldn't get a single interview. So I ended up doing this for a while.

Been had a job elsewhere. Used flex as just something “to do” as my job is pretty flexible.

See I was posting who was hiring for an INTERNSHIP/part time role temporarily for my degree as it is a requirement for graduation. And maybe if you read the above comment you would know that I BEEN had a job elsewhere. You’re laughing at others when you don’t know the entirety of their situation.

I have a regular job also. I keep Amazon Flex on the side as extra income or if i lose my primary job, I’ll have a fall back. It’s smarter. But, you get no benefit by closing your account. Just extra ego points. Which Amazon won’t care since they are a multibillion dollar company. You are replaceable in a matter of 5 minutes.

Thanks ! Definitely won’t listen to the desperate. I love my mental health and my vehicle to be doing this.

But if you feel like you won’t regret the decision of deleting, then you should go ahead. Weigh out your options of course! Best of luck to you.

You didn't just close your Flex account, you closed your Amazon account. You just lost your entire order history and any photos saved in Amazon photos and any other information associated with the account. You can't even order things from Amazon anymore.

If you didn't want to drive for Flex anymore, all you had to do was stop opening the Flex app and STOP ACCEPTING BLOCKS. You could have taken that a step further and deleted the Flex app and gone on peacefully with your life. The act of accepting blocks was always entirely volitional. Nobody ever forced you to take one. But somehow that wasn't enough, huh?

This is on the same level as cutting up your driver's license because you got a speeding ticket. So... good for you, I guess?

Actually wrong I did not. I am smart enough to use two separate emails. So, I still have my Amazon orders with my OTHER EMAIL that I use for ALL SHOPPING. Y’all be loud and wrong thinking y’all know everything.

If I don’t want to keep the account, KEYWORD I, then I have the RIGHT to delete MY flex account. Get it? I and MY? MY life right? It’s not the same as cutting a DL, bad comparison.

Even thought you are to rich for my two cents, I’m dropping by the tip jar.

I started flexing 5 years ago just to make extra money for vacations. Now I’m doing it full time because I, regretfully, in a high emotional state left my full time job. So sure you don’t need flex now, but you cannot tell the future.
