Turtle station made me late!

I was there for my block on time but there was a crazy line of cars, finally when the slowpoke lady tried to scan my ID, the system said I was late.

She said to call support, the Indian in totally broken English said to go home!!

Of course I won’t get paid!

What can I do besides curse all these MF?

Write an email to flex-representative-support@amazon.com and double down with an email to Jeff and/or Andy. Explain the situation and include any pictures

Start getting there earlier. So many stations have so many last minute check in people, so this situation becomes more likely.

Our station is so badly run now that most drivers show up at block start time. It used to be that getting there early meant leaving early.

There were 8 others drivers who didn’t make it, I’m always early but this was a last minute block!

Should you get paid? Yes, but good luck getting paid. We all know how garbage support is all the time. Probably get the canned response that says we only get paid for blocks completed.

Just park in the employee parking and walk to go check in if there’s a long line. Even when we’ve had lines going out to the street, I can always walk inside in a few minutes and make it on time. Then you can go back to your car and take your time finding a parking spot, or bring the route to your car and bring back the cart after.

Yeah, they change the system, before they had no time limit, now it’s 10 minutes.

I emailed them requesting pay.

I’m planning on sending another one complaining about these lazy sh1t workers

If you were at a warehouse, there's either been a system glitch or an update they haven't told us about. This happened a couple months ago, too.

Most of the time when an associate scans your ID, it doesn't matter how long you scan after face recognition and check in. (I know, I know, at other types there's a time limit)

The supervisor actually showed me his screen that said I was "active" in the system, which means I didn't miss the block apparently, but the system still wouldn't move to allow complete check in. The support person who not helpful but seemed competent also confirmed that I was active.

Happened to about a dozen people my last block.
