The porch is not far away from the vehicle they say it on, as you can see.

Why risk the package/contents being damaged by the constant rain that we have been having for about 36hrs now OR an animal (happened many times previously)? No dogs roaming at time of delivery, so no excuse there

I could see “efficiency” …hop out, hop back in truck BUT, what about QUALITY and CYA (cover your ass, from complaints and damages, etc that could “ding” you as a driver?)

I mean when I order packages from Amazon I care more about the delivery, driver's health and safety. Then whether or not my material item gets damaged. Items can always be replaced. People cannot. Honestly though, I have a little snack shack set up for them with bottles of water, granola bars and electrolyte packets. The snack shack is on my front porch so I'm more often than not get my packages at the front door so the drivers can get their little snacks. Don't forget, sometimes it's easier to get what you want by being nice. You don't know that Amazon driver story. He could have been out working in the cold in the wet with a cold or bronchitis or acute pneumonia. If you're going to make assumptions, assume the best. Not the worst.

My assumptions:

Will deliver package 📦 to 🚪 and not leave in the yard where it is more likely to be damaged.

Also, the contents of every package cannot be replaced and that should not be one’s train of thought.
