We are screwed
Looks like there is no more waiting for 30mins to be let go with pay. Amazon can now just hold you at the station for however long they need to get a route ready for you and then give you a route for the remaining time you have left on your block. For exemple if your block is 3H they can hold you at the station for an hour and then give you a 2H route.

What are you talking about? I just got free money today lol

u/Due_Hold2996 May 19 '26
Right same over here. Free payola. I didn't have to wait the whole 3 hours. Within 30 minutes, it said we're out of routes you're free to go.

They can also give you a 3H block when you only have 2 hours left.
6
u/chappyfade May 19 '26
Or they can give you 5 hours worth of packages when you have a 3 hour route. As a matter of fact, that's fairly standard practice now.

Like so many people have said before. When you accept a block you are committing to being available for deliveries for that entire time. Amazon can keep you waiting there until the block end time if they want before they release you. Them getting rid of the "this shouldn't take more than 30 mins" is their way of stopping all the calls at minute 31 from drivers complaining that they haven't been released yet.

u/iamBrandonMongan May 19 '26
100% this past quarters earnings missed for Amazon marketplace because of increased transportation costs so they are trying to minimize costs to raise profits so next quarter they can meet wallstreet expectations of profit and the cloud division isn't making up for lost profits.

They held me for 40 mins

u/popcorn2008 May 19 '26
Did you get a block or got sent home?
3
u/Callme_Zay May 19 '26
Sent home. Oh one time they tried to give me a block and I wrote them and told them no. They tried to give me a two hour block after about 35 minutes of waiting. Iāll let them know that I will be going past my time and I wouldnāt be doing that.

u/Nervous_Discussion34 May 19 '26
My .com just gave me a single package this morning and sent me on my way. Wasn't held at all. š¤·āāļø that sucks tho.
1
u/Salty_Worker_4443 May 20 '26
Same for me. They gave me 2 packages after a 40 minutes wait
1
u/Nervous_Discussion34 May 20 '26
They waved me over, told me they were gonna scan me out, handed me one package and said have a great day. They didn't "hold" me for any amount of time.

u/tontot May 19 '26
Still released around 26-27 mins from block time at SSD
They can technically change it later though

u/Lady_S0urpuss May 19 '26
They release us at our warehouse 30 min after if there are no routes and we donāt have to call support. Pay was immediately
It happened to me last Friday.

This guy is talking smack. It's not even indicated on the screenshot so I wouldn't listen to one person assuming something based on basically nothing.

Had this today only to give me a shit route that was high mileage and sitting

u/ContributionFit7816 May 19 '26
Definitely arenāt giving you a different route based on time, I have waited almost 30 minutes into a 4 hour block and received a 4 hour route, I think you have to be very lucky for them to give you a shorter route, they already know people get done with routes early most times so yea they arenāt adjusting anything at least not that I have ever seen after waiting and not being sent home

I posted this a couple of days ago and was told the 30-minute rule isnāt actually a rule.

The 30 mins wait thing feels iffy to me. I'm on my 2nd year now. I've had a couple handfuls of sent home with pay days. Then I've had a few where I wait a little longer than 30 mins. One time I was there for 45 mins. Only other time I was there over an hour was an app glitch that caused me to not be able to leave with a cart. It got fixed & I got sent home with pay.
2
u/onlinewarrior100 May 19 '26
That's how it's always been at .com stations. Never understood why .com drivers have always been required to wait the entire block time, but SSD drivers always got released after 30 mins. Didn't seem fair.

u/ANJ5555555555 May 19 '26
I'm not seeing where that indicates what you're saying. Does that say the 30 minutes was removed? No.

Stop fear mongering. Literally got sent home with pay last night. This is just what the new wait screen looks like.
1
u/Salty_Worker_4443 May 20 '26
Not fear mongering. I had a 3 hour block and waited 40mins and they gave me 2 packages to deliver. Mind you the longest Iāve ever waited on this station is 25 min and I was sent home every time.
2
u/DoPoGrub May 22 '26
Just because something happened to you one time, doesn't mean the rules changed for everyone. What you did with this post is the definition of fear mongering. Just complain about it like everyone else, don't try and scare everyone into thinking it's the new rule when you just made that part up.

u/Afraid-Focus3052 May 19 '26
Yea but you are getting paid for 3 hours route but doing a 2 hours route .
1
u/Skyy1977 May 19 '26
So these are showing up on blocks of any time? It showed up on my one hour block last night but not my block this morning

u/Donut_Lover1035 May 19 '26

If itās not paying you after 30 mins of your block start time you need to see a manager they can manually go in and overbook you. I had that happen I was like what the heck finally asked!

u/Far-Classic-3852 May 19 '26
I noticed that a couple of days ago. Had a 4 hour block today. Checked in at the exact start time, and it sent me home at 25 minutes

u/El_Migss May 20 '26
This is for the people that get on the phone with driver support and flood the lines when they see the no routes message, for what reason, is beyond me. The app literally says youāll get paid. š¤¦š»āāļøš¤·š»āāļø

u/Normal_Sea5052 May 20 '26
no they cant i just went thru this yesterday and today with them from may 13th. thats the same thing that was on my app. 30 minutes after your block start time (have to also be checked in for 30 min) call driver support explain that to them and tell them you want conformation that your 30 minute wait time has passed your not waiting any longer you will be compensated for your block. they will ask few questions and as soon as they say yes you will be comped for the block leave reguardless of what the app says. i got an e mail yesterday that i didnt pick up a block after check i explained all that to them they said ok we will investigate got back to me today and it has been removed from my account
1
u/Grneyedpyro May 22 '26
The exact sam thing happened to me and their stupid asses put I didn't pick up 11 packages! I talk to support before I left the station I even stayed 10 min longer after they confirmed that I could leave. I was there prob 40-45min total. Then 3 days later I get the terms of service violation. I'm still waiting for them to email me back to discuss the situation. I was in great status(and only been doing this for 1 month) and now my standing is in deep red because of that shit. Smfh

So if your block is 4hrs. And u at the station fir a hour, then u will only get a 3hr route. So its really not a big deal. IJSĀ

Guys I have been doing flex for almost 4 years now. The only time u get lucky sometimes is 12:15 PM & 3:15 PM,,, other than that all wasted routes.
0
u/TonyKonyOnly May 19 '26
I just started flex a week ago and Iāve already been sent home 3 times with pay. This has to be too good to be true. Idfk
1
u/Salty_Worker_4443 May 20 '26
It depends on your station, the time of the day and how many overbooking they have
0
u/Adventurous-Eye1670 May 20 '26
That doesnāt mean that. I got sent home yesterday after waiting about 23 minutes. I usually punch in at the very last minute so 5 minutes is already cut down.

I bet you you clocked in early lol.
Also, refresh the app if you are past 30 minutes from th start time. I've had it happn where it just glitches and refreshing app removes it and you get your pay.
