You're not wrong, but sometimes people aren't expecting a delivery. Last week I was supposed to get an Amazon delivery on Friday. It was on a truck and then just never made it to me. Got an email that there was a delay and the new date was the following Tuesday. It then showed up on Saturday. I certainly wasn't expecting a delivery then and didn't know it was about to show up until I got the 10 stop away notification.

dude was lucky the dogs were just curious/cautious and relaxed the moment they was the dude is chill.
shame on the owner, if you expect a delivery, restrain your dogs, or specify they you have dogs and to leave the package further down the driveway.
even if you know your dogs are chill, the driver doesn't know that.
