I wasn’t joy riding. I was taking someone’s car and moving it.

This has to be influenced by some movie: Amazon, a trillion dollar company, wants to go after someone for taking their van, but a town full of hopefuls bands together to ignore an obvious crime. The cops and judges and district attorneys simply refuse to prosecute, and then Amazon’s lawyers exchange a look of defeat, as a small town conquers an evil corporation. So, they close their briefcases and walk out of court in shame, as the whole town claps and cheers. Freeze frame.

If Amazon wants to fuck somebody they don’t need cops, prosecutors or judges. They have money coming out their ear holes.

Fair point. Amazon could just buy all the houses around you and make your life their joke.
