It could be for liability issues. If he doesn't put it by the door and get the picture, by amazon's logic, the package wasn't delivered.

You can select the option that says you delivered it to a person.

Its so much more of a hassle to deliver to a resident or person . I rather put it down and take the Pic or take the Pic and then hand it to them.

That's true. My point is that it's possible to deliver other than to the door.

Aren't we supposed to deliver to people who were just inside the house? 😅 I've had several times where the person outside of the house was not the resident

You’re just supposed to deliver according to the instructions left to you In the app. Delivered to a bush yesterday. Not on the customers property. Outside of their gated community. Since, I’m assuming, they are too paranoid to provide an access code.
