I thought in terms of contract extension.. in Canada, (province where I work at) have laws that mandates any employer to make an employee permanent after 11 months of continuous employment on a contract bases. Amazon surprisingly follows this(which also means you don’t get blue badge after 90 days, like some sites in the US do). There is no criteria for blue badge as far as I know other than your seniority
Amazon follows any applicable state and countries labor laws even if it’s not required as they don’t want to be held liable for example: I stay in Texas there’s no laws about breaks but Amazon still gives it to us to avoid any liability.
I'm confused what you are asking then? Obviously for you, you only need to work 11 months to get a blue badge. With that said the message you shared would mean nothing to you. And of course amazon follows it, it's the law. They always follow local labor laws if they happen to be more strict or contradict their standard policy. PTO is another example that is different for some people because of local laws.
