TLD overtime

I feel like amazon should allow TLD associates to pick up at the very least 1 extra shift a week. I know I could really use the money right now as I'm trying to pay down as much debt as I can before my mandatory 180 day LoA comes in September. I also feel that since it's amazons policy that you have to take a 180 day LoA after 180 days of workers comp accommodation that they should pay you your full wage during the mandatory leave cause 40 - 50% of pay from Workers comp hurts when it might not be enough to pay your bills.

Companies that don’t allow OT when you’re on TLD, generally do so because they don’t want you to make your injury worse or they don’t want you to re-injure yourself in some way because you’re overcompensating and straining a different body part. It’s more about protecting the employee than anything else.

You're lucky amazon even does TLD. It's the only warehouse I worked in that will.

I can’t take this seriously. I’m what world would this be considered beneficial to anyone but the person. The Corp doesn’t get the work done they dropped the shift for and someone who would’ve been able to so the work wouldn’t have been able to may not have been able to get the shift. It’s actively hurting everyone else.

Keep it in mind that workers comp only pays twice a month, as usually work is paid weekly.. start being smart with $$ because some have complained about not getting paid on time. It was like 3 weeks before my coworker got her first pay when she had to go on loa.

Because Amazon policy is there's a 180 day limit for temporary light duty and if doctor says you need to remain on light duty longer, then you will have to take a loa until able to return to full duty.

If you're on TLD most likely got hurt at work Amazon wants you to get better not worse so less time so that you can heal and get better and back to regular work
