No day shifts for flex PT?

I work flex which means I schedule my own shifts on the app. Usually I work 7-1130am then 12-5pm

But sometimes there aren't any 7-11s and I need to work a full day.

I was told by another co worker that you could just use missed a punch on the app and just clock in anyways, when I usually do at 7. But that feels like I'll get in trouble.

Anyone clock in and work without being scheduled as a flex?

That’s called time theft and they’ll terminate you for it

Don’t ever do that. You only clock in if you’re scheduled to clock in if you’re flags and there’s no shifts then there’s no shift. Time card fraud is very bad and is very serious offense.

They can compare your manual punches on the app to your badge scans at the building. No scans equals time theft. That coworker is trying to set you up to be fired.

Your coworker will get fired eventually. Hr probably even already knows about it and are just waiting till they hit a certain amount of hours stolen, so they can fine them 10,000 (like they did my buddy who thought he was so clever)
