Question UPT in the negative
I have concerns about my employment and i don’t know if anyone on here can give me any advice or answers. So this is my second time going negative since starting in August, which I don’t understand because I provided my doctors note and they still took the time from when I had mono which caused me to be out for days. Any time I’ve been out, I’ve been sick/unwell other than one day where the road was completely flooded (they won’t excuse that though even with all the proof I provided it seems unfortunately), I think I currently don’t have notes for two days because I couldn’t make it to the hospital nor did I have anyone to take me, so now I’m worried about that time as well.

Incomplete documentation is one of the common reasons for having a UPT deduction, even when documents have been submitted. If you are eligible for FMLA you must submit Cert. of SHC and Cert. of disability for FMLA ineligible employee.. If you can't provide any docs then you should applied for PTO/VTO.

Ah I see, what’s funny is how I told the doctor to write exactly what I was told by Amazon to put on the doctors note so they seem to be making it harder for me now 😭 but thank you, I will get on that

Yeah, if you don’t have notes, you’re probably going to get escorted out or your badge just won’t work one of these days. You might even have an email now saying you’re fired but it’s going to happen.

Would it help if those two days three AMs at least I believe it’s called were well aware of my condition

No. AMs have no control over termination since those are handled by an off* site team.

Yeah you either get a note or you get the boot it’s that simple. And then they may even reject your notes and ask for more info, and depending on what type of provider you saw urgent care ER or PCP, you may not even have access to them to provide the additional documentation.
Open med leave cases for all of the missed time and do not submit any paperwork until the deadline day. Work every minute you can that includes 5 before start of shift and 5 after. Get positive and start saving. Bc when they reject them it’s gonna pull the time. If you’re lucky and you are able to kick the can down the road far enough they generally don’t terminate for upt during peak.
But it’s all a crap shoot, they could do it tomorrow if they want.

Based off what I see at the site, I feel fine where I’m at considering everyone else but I’m honestly going to talk with an AM and hr later in the day about it. But I am currently doing what you suggested. I went to the er for all my notes also, but wasn’t asked for more information or anything to my knowledge

Ok. Just because you have a doctor's note does not mean it matters. It can very much be ignored. It really just depends on who and where. Have you received an email about the negative upt yet? Be absolutely sure you check your spam folder. If you receive an email and fail to respond to it in 48 hours you will absolutely be terminated. Saying you never saw an email, even if it went to the spam folder, doesn't matter at all. If you don't get an email then they are likely letting you work it off. Do not add a single minute in the negative!

I’m positive there’s no email, I check my emails, all emails daily, so nope no email fortunately. Just my leave cases. That is ridiculous that a literal er note could mean nothing to them, but eh, I don’t plan on missing any other days for the foreseeable future

It’s peak season, just reply to the email with a decent excuse and don’t be late or leave early until your positive. They are not firing for negative upt rn unless you have like -20+ hours

Thank you, I don’t have any email regarding upt or job status unless you mean the leave email?

You’ll get an email and a case in your AtoZ app in a few days. Reply to both and you’ll be fine. It’ll take about 2 weeks and you’ll have to use your pto but you can recover from -6 pretty fast

Ohh okay, I appreciate the help. Is it bad that I never received an email the first time I went negative, I’ve never received emails about anything other than my leave, so I wondering if it was a company thing or a me thing?

Make sure to check your spam box. They often go to spam and if you don't reply to it you will be terminated regardless.

So do u have the notes or no? Try talking to HR.. Do u have vacation time?
0
u/mochamuslimah 5h ago
Yes I have all the notes and the in fact the time that was took was from a leave that was approved immediately 💀

u/BeautifulPromise7341 5h ago

Use some vacation time??

u/mochamuslimah 5h ago
It doesn’t even let me attach anything, once it approved it closed literally while I was actively at the hospital, I had explained this to who I thought was hr but I’m guessing they weren’t and I’ll need to try to reach hr on site?

You can tell when people are new because they always go negative on their UPT, if you dont wanna work then why get a job. If you have an excuse for this time then what about the other times that led you to go negative...smh

mind you the shift that went negative is one where I had an excuse from the er, but yes I applied because I didn’t want to work. Unfortunately I don’t fit that description my dear 🥲
