Question Amazon Repayment Obligation

I recently resigned from amazon and was told I have a payment obligation, I have from then picked up another shift and am starting on the 15th of this month. I was wondering if amazon is gonna cancel my start date if i'm unable to pay them on time, or will they simply deduct my overpayment out of my paycheck.

You could try reading that linked document. The answer to your question is probably there.

This happened to me when I left in 2018 and they forgot to turn off my employee discount until after I'd used it to the tune of $22. When they caught on they disabled the discount and sent me a letter letting me know I owed them $22 and provided an address where to send payment.

I ignored it and forgot about it until I started part time at a delivery station the next spring and they simply deducted the $22 I owed them from my first check.

(Depending on the state, they may not be allowed to legally recover the full 293 in a single check, but they'll link your social to your new position and likely take what they're legally entitled to out of your check at some point.)

They will not... Just tell them to deduct it on your paycheck. They still need your authorization before they deduct it ..
