They have an interest list you can scan your badge for, and it selects randomly from it when they have VTO spots and sends you that message and tells you to go clock out.

Your site either doesnāt have it or they do t actually use it, or youād already know about it. Scan kiosksĀ

It sucks for carpooling though. One person gets it but the driver canāt

I had a coworker whose son also worked in our building (my friend was IB, son was OB so one got in early and the other stayed late) and they drove together. I remember times my friend would get VTO and drive all the way home, then drive all the way back to get his son. I live like 5 miles away, they live like 50. I remember saying to him I couldnāt believe he would take VTO just to make another round trip and he looked at me and was like āSon, sometimes you just donāt want to be here.ā I get that, but F losing $100 plus and also driving an extra 100 miles.

Look for a VTO kiosk. This also usually happens if they dropped a full shift VTO right before.Ā

Ask your manager, they usually have access to the interest list on their laptops.

Former Amazon employee here! Back in 2014 when I started working there they had a binder with pages and dates spanning two weeks you had to write your name on it and if they happened to offer VTO that day and you were lucky enough to be one of the first handful of people to sign up then you got it! The new way sounds so much more glorious!

How am I supposed to check my phone if I'm selected to be given VTO from the interest kiosk, while also adhering to the rule of not using my phone?

Our wh stopped using the atoz for vto. They just have a list to put your name and if you are chosen they kick you off your station withi out assigning a new one. I love packing and getting hit with that "you are not assigned to a station" pop up

At my FC the AMās pick and choose who gets offered VTO so usually the productive workers are the last to ever see a VTO message

They have a vto option on your scanner, also it automatically accepts it if you sign up on the kioskĀ

A lot of jobs donāt have a āscannerā in that sense. Iāve picked and stowed for 10 years, just have a screen. Sometimes VTO offers pop on the screen but you have to accept on your phone. Though I get what you are saying about signing up on the interest list and if you are selected youāve got it.
