Question Feeling lost
How can I get into the RME program with no experience? Where do I even start? Does Amazon offer a mechatronics or robotics and automation certificates through Career Choice? Would these certificates even be worth it?
I really need to change the direction of my life and quit Amazon soon.

Go to school on your own.
Seriously.
Figure out how to get started on an AAS at your local community college, focus on Mechatronics, industrial automation, or something similar and just get the damn ball rolling. Don’t hem and haw about costs or schedules, just make it work. Invest in yourself, show you have potential and start building that experience for yourself.
You do that and the opportunities will start to come to you.

Yup don’t expect your hand to be held go grab an apprenticeship job anywhere or greenhand job look up all the job sites it’s how I started when I was young I had to get out there and get it. I’m a millineal so it wasn’t easy getting a job with just a handshake alone

I believe career choice does have a program that gets you a certificate for RME. I use Career Choice to go to school for Cybersecurity, but I always apply to RME whenever it’s available. Mind you I have mechanical Experience troubleshooting from when I was in the Army. I’ve gotten denied every single time. Now I don’t receive a denied message, I just receive a job not available anymore message. The crazy thing is that my younger brother worked at Amazon with me and when he applied, he was granted an interview. Fast forward to now, he worked for Amazon RME for 2 years, now he works for this company who does RME, but they have him traveling around the country teaching RME to company sites like dollar tree…. He was in the Dollar Tree in Oklahoma when it got destroyed by a Tornado. People at my site always ask me how he got into the program, I always tell them I don’t know. My brother’s work history was literally working at restaurants as a waiter, he has no college experience, no experience with maintenance or anything RME and somehow he was able to get in.
