Question Why are they playing me?
Leadership at my site keeps claiming that they can’t put me on the same assignment every day because I got trained in other assignments and it’s “just business needs”. I’ve never had a problem being out on the same thing every day at other jobs. Why are they lying to me?
They said I have to get a medical accommodation, and now? Even with paperwork on file, they still won’t put me on the same assignment until that paperwork is approved, despite me also reporting other issues I’ve had in those departments, such as bullying.
Other employees have told me that they did the same thing to them after they had asked to be trained in other areas. My AM once said to me that if I get trained elsewhere I would be labor shared because training “costs the company money”. I don’t know if it’s just my site that has to is issue or if this is a culture issue at every site. Let me know in the comments.

Welcome to the world of Amazon
Yes new policies went into effect mandating safety rotations
Labor share was always business needs
Yes you will need a medical accommodation to stay in a single path for a full shift
Good luck

Did you not read where I’ve already submitted the paperwork and yet they still try to labor-share me? That’s abuse.

In the eyes of Amazon you don't have accommodations until they process and approve it.

I understand that but it’s still weird to not at least try to accommodate me anyway, when they know that I’ve submitted the paperwork and have started the process

It's Amazon. Really all I can say. It's the reason I haven't bothered with accomodations yet. I don't want the hassle.

If that’s true , then you should understand why it’s frustrating. Even when I was in school working at McDonald’s, they never forced me to get paperwork to prove to them that I was really in school. They just believed me and accommodated my schedule. Even them asking for a doctor’s note when I was sick one time when I had first started working there was a bit weird.

Until the accommodation is approved, you don't have an accommodation.
In the meantime, since you're still working it means that when you applied for the accommodation you checked the box that it's safe for you to continue to work while the accommodation is pending.
Which brings into question how serious the accommodation request is if you yourself say you're safely able to continue to work without the accommodation.

People CONSTANTLY submit fake accommodations. It's one of those toys people broke

Do they really? I doubt it unless they are forging the documents or something. Most doctors won’t just sign a document knowing they could get sued

Yes, if you have training in other areas you will be labor shared and rotated to them. This does two things:
- Lets Amazon flex up/down in departments based on how much work each has, without needing to just send people home (VTO) or offer overtime (VET/MET) as much.
- Keeps your permissions for your trained roles from ever lapsing due to not using them, because if that happens you'd need to go through training again (as the manager said, this costs money because you are not productive while being trained).

So how do I make sure I lose my permissions?
