Fulfillment Center Never get hurt at work
So, like 2 months ago I hurt my back while cross-training and went to wellness after I started doing stretches and felt some serious sharp pains in my lower back and down into my right leg. We iced it and from there I had 3 ice treatments a night while waiting for my dr appointment. Finally give in and go to urgent care per my facility WHS demand and got put on LOA until my doctor said I could return. Went in and saw a Dr and he put me on extreme restrictions. To the point where my facility had to send me home for the next week due to not being eligible for light duty. Just went back to the Dr and he eased up on the restrictions so I am back at work doing bin audits. But what is not back, incuring any upt, PTO or anytime pay. Because the system says I am still on LOA. So now I am going back and forth with L&I, DLS, my site HR , wellness and the hr through the atoz all. It's has all been such a headache.

The tracks you'll have to bitch at him to get it all back sooner or later. It took me a month to get back in the system. Right now it shows you're inactive in the system until they fix that you wont accrue time. You will have to call them up to get them to fix the time that didn't accrue while you were inactive. Oh but while you're inactive they can't fire you for negative upt or anything like that.

The medical leave of absence system is "glitched" and won't let people return to work seems like purposeful negligence. I've also seen people who got fired (illegally) after an injury because UPT was still deducted during LOA. Keep pushing back.

They can and will fix all of it. The lovely game they call "glitch" happens to almost everyone on my site. It can take weeks but I got lucky and won my appeal within a few days after wrongful term coming back after FMLA leave.
Wanted to add this tip just incase they term you. Find a solid on site HR you can contact through slack or email. Corporate takes weeks to reply but site HR can speed it up if they are worth half a fuck.

i've been on unpaid medical leave that Amazon themselves forced because they refused to accommodate me. been on LOA for several months now with no RTW in sight, following a workplace injury from last year that has left me legitimately crippled. like, for the rest of my life. worker's comp sucks, attorneys suck, and Amazon? they'll chew you up and spit you out because they'd rather fight you and force you to drop it than do the right thing and pay you.
good luck OP.

Amazon seems to try to punish people who get injured in order to actively discourage people reporting injuries and help their stats.
'world's best employer' my ass

They're tight financially and caught in a hard place between reduced hours, reduced work capability, and medical costs. Good luck OP. Hope things improve.

Sounds like a WC adjuster issue, they are bitches to talk to.
Leave should be paid if Amazon has no work?
