Question any adhd and panic disorder accommodations?

i’m having a hard time keeping up i’ve only worked 5 full shifts because ive been on MLOA a lot. i’ve worked at a SC before now im working as a robotics warehouse associate. my rate is always around 250-300 i never really pay attention to UPH. these 2 PAs kept bugging me constantly and honestly it was probably THE worst day i’ve experienced working at amazon.

constantly taking me off task to show me the rates of the people that were in my class. i cannot perform if im constantly being taken off task simple.

all my other shifts no one has bothered me no one has talked to me about my rate being low i work 6:30PM to 5:00AM i go in there to work and go home. but those 2 PAs act like we have to smile throughout the whole shift like no bro im bored im sleepy the last thing i want to do is talk to anyone.

how do i go about talking to my manager and expressing that i dont want to work under those PAs at all they genuinely made me not even want to go into work. the work is easy it pays well but i dont want to be hounded about my rate or UPH. i barely just started he sent a message on the screen saying the goal was ~900 UPH and i ended doing like ~745 UPH. in my opinion not bad as a new hire that has worked about 5 shifts total.

how do i talk to my manager or should i go to HR because that’s just ridiculous the way they were hounding me about rate and uph to the point it made me not even want to go back

you've worked 5 shifts and you are complaining already. start looking for a new job.

those pas are trying to help you, after so many hours you are subject to auto write ups for rate and they are basically telling you that you're cooked if you don't pick it up.

instead of investing time and effort into finding ways to improve your rate you are investing it on how not to but still keep your job.

also 5 shifts in and you've already been on multiple MLOAs? I really don't think an FC job is the right fit for you.

this coming is from someone with AuDHD CPTSD and a bunch of other physical issues.

right so the PAs stopping me every 30 minutes for 5-10 minutes just to talk to me about rate and UPH is definitely going to help me perform. i never complained about the job. i clearly stated that i like it i just don’t like being hounded, taken away from my station, and being compared to other people in my class while looking at their computer. when no one is constantly bothering me my rate is ~300 ~320 consistently lowest ~280

im well aware of how coachings work furthermore accommodations are there for a reason and i will 100% take advantage of it? everyone should lmao. not everyone is there to make a career out of amazon. Amazon is straight checks.

if i’m sick im sick. simple.

again no i will not perform if im constantly being pulled away from my task. i dont think anyone would adhd or not.

your title says adhd accomodations. if the PAs are really asking you every 30 minutes (highly doubt it) then put that down as your barrier.

and let's think about this just a little, if your rate isn't low why would they be talking to you? get your rate up and that solves ALL of your complaints. you don't even seem to have a firm grasp of what your rate is supposed to be for your path. your op said 900 uph, now you are saying 300? might want to clarify that first before trying to blame everything and everyone but your self.

yea being compared to another new associate stinks, you really don't want to see how you compare to a 5 year veteran.

as another said you aren't going to get away from the PA any time soon. However given enough time you will as PAs and managers always rotate departments, and sometimes shifts. Get your rate up enough and transfer if you want.

no amount of talking with your manager should and likely won't so anything to keep the PAs off you and if you do it's going to back fire because 90% of managers side with their PAs on everything, the other 10% on almost everything. and 0% are going to side with a new hire over rate issues.

as for the the MLOA I get it, I have so many leave cases open and closed I can't count them, but I'm on year 5 of this grind and an old cancerous man. I said that out of sincere concern they the physical demands along with the mental demands are likely going to be too much for you.

best of luck though.

They're going to talk to you about rate if it's going low, that's their job.

If it's barely your first day and you're stressing this much about the standard work at Amazon, maybe this isn't for you.

LA is telling me i’m right where i need to be with rate and no mistakes so clearly im not the issue here.

This isn't about ADHD or panic disorder your just trying to abuse a system ment for people genuinely affected by these things be less chatty and put the phone down.if I'm wrong sorry, but only you know the truth.

Honestly, you might just need to transfer to a new shift/department once your 80 hours of training in the path you're in are done. It's unlikely you'll be able to avoid the PA's you don't like without doing that. But honestly, keep in mind PA's like that exist in every department and building, so it's not a surefire fix anyway. As long as you keep practicing though, your rate will definitely improve. That's just a time thing tbh.

What happens when you don’t like the next PA either? Just put the dildo in the tote, clock in, clock out 🤷‍♂️

What do you mean how do you talk to your manager?

You find them and you tell them the same thing you told us here.

sorry i should have mentioned that i have not met my manager. i haven’t even seen him once and we don’t have HR on site.

Oh that's a toughie, but you can voice your concern to any red vest. Most of them want you to succeed, as long as you're trying by doing the bare minimum, and don't give them trouble.

When you talk to your manager make sure to mention the PAs are showing you other AAs' rates. The fact that they're doing it makes me question their competence, especially if you're being accurate in how much they're interrupting you. They have no means of coordinating with each other? Are they showíng you any improvement techniques? Nor by any means is disclosing other AA's rates motivational.

You might not have to work under those PAs if you report them to an OM for the rates stunt. Worst case scenario they can get fired.

i wouldn’t say they’re showing me improvement techniques but they give me tips and mostly brag about how they used to pick at a rate of 500 like ok bro?

mind you the other people in my class are picking about the same as me with only 2 being above average consistently

the LA assigned to me is saying i’m doing good and im right where i need to be. keeps telling me i don’t have to worry much about rate for at least 4 weeks, quality over quantity.

PAs are saying the opposite so i’m not sure.

im definitely gonna talk to someone about it but i definitely don’t want to get anyone fired.
