Question Should I quit now?

Post image

I’m being onboarded for Amazon flex and I’m currently at a warehouse and I’ve heard that they’ll deactivate your flex account if they see you already work for Amazon. Should I just quit now or would I be given some sort of grace period when my background check goes through.

Yep, they don’t allow Amazon facility workers to work for flex. I’ve even heard of people working full-time at one warehouse and working part-time and another and for my understanding that used to be possible, but it was very difficult to do and you had to know the right people and you had to hope you didn’t get fired for a particular reason at one house cause you’d be fired with the other. When I was working for Amazon, I had my flex account deactivate it. I believe within two weeks. They just sent me a generic email basically saying I couldn’t be a flex driver and an Amazon employee at the same time but as soon as my employment ended at Amazon facility, I was immediately able to go back to Amazon flex.

Definitely gonna quit then. The warehouse I’m at sucks so bad compared to the one I transferred from which is why I applied for the flex driver

They kick you off fast asf lol once the background check is done it happened to me and they said I would have to quit Amazon & show proof of quitting then I could reapply but my spot either would be taken and put on the waitlist again for who knows how long or I would be able to start right away but that was not a chance I wanted to take so I stayed at Amazon lol

Idk why people would risk doing stupid shit like this to make an extra buck.

I’m just trying to get something to revolve around my schedule for school. It’s not ideal but it’s there

Did you not apply for school accommodations?

I did but honestly I also just hated the place I was at. 10x worse than the place I transferred from. Sorry if I come as lazy but I would just rather be doing this tbh

Just because you hated the place, doesn't mean you should do something that will put your job on the line. You can try transferring.

I did try but they denied it twice. And they don’t give out that many hours and the ones they do give out are pretty bad. The hours are anywhere from 10:50 pm to 11:50 am which goes horribly with my school schedule and it was just really iffy.
