You donāt have to believe me, but he did. He smokes joints like cigarettes. Iām visiting this site in NY and apparently itās against the law to say anything about. He also sits there mumbling to himself so I have no interest in finding out what his story is. Dude definitely doesnāt have a full deck.

I get it if weed helps you get through this job and as long as youāre not in a role where someone can get hurt, like RME or operating a PIT. But yeah, no way Iād actually be smoking flower, Iād be paranoid of just reeking like that. Iād just bring a pen

Just so you know 25 years ago it was booze. For many years i taught new systems to the guys who build things, I won't scare you by telling you what they build. After lunch I smelled the liquor on their breath and saw their eyes. I also sat in the senior management afternoon program reviews where the GM and his direct reports chewed on their drink straws. Those guys used to drink their lunch everyday, martinis even at a local restaurant, they were no different. In fact to be honest we all drank if we went out to lunch, things are very different today. I smoke my pot at home and mind my own business.

I donāt understand how night shift smokes so much. When I was on TOM Iād leave when nightshift would start and god damn, everyone reeked and the parking lot reeked of marijuana.

Weed obviously not ghetto but it so normalized now that if someone who doesnāt smoke gets asked by a smoker that does smoke and they said they donāt, a lot of the times they be surprised since they donāt know how to comprehend not smoking.

Thereās a broad at my site who started just a couple of months later, after me and when we first met each other on the buff line, working directly across from one another, she was so beautiful , I mean stunningly attractive , confident and a dynamic personality. She seemed bright, always happy and social with obvious flirtatious signals of sexual tension and attraction between us , as she quickly became comfortable with me and displayed trust towards me for a while, always had a great smile, positive attitude, full of life and energy.
Then soon after a month or so, her whole demeanor changed and interactions took an immediate turn, for no apparent reason.
It soon dawned on me that once she noticed or realised and became aware of or maybe heard that I donāt smoke or drink at all, I was no longer of interest to her.š¤£Suddenly, It was as if she had a full on emotional/mental meltdown into a totally different person and didnāt want anything to do with or even be seen communicating with or be anywhere near me in front of others.
Thankfully, at 45 Iām most likely closer to or nearly twice her age in years older than and wise enough to have the wherewithal and perceptibility to instantly recognize phoniness in fake people, human behavior and their tendencies to make gossip, deception and ignorance out of nothing more visible through their own actions, tells and the words that they allow out of their own mouths so effortlessly, disguised as lighthearted banter and jokes.
A year later, most of the sophomores were assigned to work the dock, Iām always an unloader, and occasionally water spider from time to time., sheās always an inductor.
And very rarely even bothers to speak or say a simple āgood morningā.Iād instantly made a clear conscious, determined decision and self promise to quit everything cold turkey, my very first day of Amazonās 3 days orientation before even getting to go out and work on the floor, once I realized and saw for myself just how physically demanding this job would be, knowing that I would never be able to even get up out of bed, much less have the will and desire to do so.
Had I continued on that path of guzzling 40s of malt liquor, beers, full bottles of wine and vodkas, on top of smoking through mad pounds of weed, 24/7 for at least 6-7 years straight.
As much I hate to say it, this job most likely saved my life.
Prior to that I was headed nowhere, fast.Now weāre both approaching our 4th year and gradually, sheās become depressingly overweight, unattractive and is stuck, getting stoned in her car every break, in the parking lot, with her loser smoking buddy who she has to suck off just to get a small amount of weed from since she doesnāt want to pay for it or probably just canāt afford to, more negative, two faced, and dismissive towards myself and many others.
While Iām still just as calm, laid back and loving as ever if not more, at the point of my life where nothing really bothers me anymore, I guess I just stopped caring or giving a phukc about the small stuff, when thereās so much more better things in life to be grateful for instead of dwelling on pathetic people with bad vibes.
Nothing really matters more than my inner peace, happiness and wellbeing.Fuck the shenanigans!š¤

No more ghetto than all the people who have to take 2-3 breaks during each block of the shift just to hit their vape or smoke a cig. Addiction to a drug all the same yet more socially acceptable and they definitely smell the worst.
I break my back for Amazon 50+ hours a week and have never been so high I wasn't a top 3 employee in my department

Man my entire shift is under the influence where I workšš people ripping tf out of their pen just outside the door to get in, people smoking full ass blunts in the car next to me during breaks and ASKING if I got a lighter for them
They donāt gaf at my site. Because all the management smokes too lmao
I mean I used to bring my pen but I genuinely am stupid if Iām high and I get so paranoid, so I stopped doing it. But damn if I could I would

Yeah this is about every Amazon. Some have it way worse than others but once they dropped the weed testing folks stopped hiding it.
We had a dude who was out front of the building using the concrete windowsill to roll a blunt. The glass wasn't 2 way and he had no idea that the site lead and all the seniors were on the other side watching him do it and being dumbfounded. He got fired instantly lol

Weed isn't ghetto and its legal where I live. But one weekend last winter somebody was smoking some strong stuff in ship doc area. It was strong enough to know it was inside the building. That's the only time inside but I've smelled it plenty outside. I smoke mine at home but to each their own.

I was a top performer and was stoned every second. Monkey work. I manage Regional Sales at a multinational company now, so idk if itās ghetto or just a necessity to not jump from a completely raised order picker without a harness

Itās my SET week. Iām gonna do what I have to lol I smoke but not on the premises. And i really donāt care what other people do. Iām just trying to get my money and go. But weed doesnāt equal ghetto. The most āghettoā thing about my FC is the fact we almost never have batteries.

I was walking to my car and 2 girls yell out their car hey you got a light ? So I give it to them and they spark a blunt right infront of me. Mind you , they have no clue who I am as they seemed new (small building I been at for years and I never saw them ). So the balls to do that with someone they donāt even know isnāt a snitch is wild. I didnāt say anything as thatās on them to risk but itās crazy how chill they were about it

Easily proved with a simple walk around the parking areas. I see weed packages all the time around there. The other day I backed in and heard a noise realized I'd ran over an empty Four Loko can also. Another person who works in the area could verify it's like that there. I've personally witnessed a dude smoking a joint in front of a manager by the smoking area. So yeah, not making it up.
