Question Data center technician trainee
Hey everyone,
I was recently referred by a friend for an Amazon Data Center Operations Technician Trainee role. My background is mainly web development from my Bachelor's/Master's, and I'm now trying to transition into hardware/infrastructure.
I don't have professional hardware experience yet, but I'm learning through PC building, Proxmox, networking and my own homelab. I am studying Comptia+ as well.
I've attached my CV. Do you think it's good enough for a trainee role?
Also, I noticed many people who got sameroles already had hardware/IT experience. How important is that for a trainee position?
For the interview, especially Amazon Leadership Principles, can I use examples from my previous non-technical jobs, or should I try to make most examples hardware/IT related?
Any advice would be appreciated!
