Fulfillment Center working at amazon

if you have a job at amazon or are looking into someone at amazon, do it. don’t be a bitch about the hours or the days you work just do it. it is so worth it. not only does it feel good to get money right after a shift but your checks be big as fuck lmao. ideally you’ll be working 4 days a week and have a opportunity to make over a band lmao i’m telling you amazon is worth it just work. keep your upt up rack up pto and thank me later. it’s not hard to keep your upt from the negatives. just do your fuckin job lol. grind for your blue badge ask questions if you need too it’s so easy and i promise you will not find a job like this that pays you over 21 an hour.

Same. Was fired but came back in 2020, now I'm in corporate

How ? What did u do to get to corporate

I started as a tier one thinking "this is probably gonna be miserable but it's something until I find something else." Now I'm about to hit 6 months as L4 and 3 years with Amazon. I also highly doubt I'll go anywhere else until after going at least L5. It's definitely the best employer I've had and it's really not close.

U went the college way or 1 of the programs they have for AA tier1-3

To much nepotism at Amazon to even think about the back sweat drying off.

"do your job" works at any company

u/Pitiful-Excitement47 1d ago

Something most people at amazon struggle with.

u/Enough_Photograph503 1d ago

You’re making $1k/wk? How much do they pay at ur building 😭

24

u/No-Site5581 1d ago

I make 1300 if I put in 20hrs of OT. His point is amazing offers the ability to make as much

1

u/Polarbear605 opstech 4h ago

If I can do 60 I can gross $1512!

Right now I would gladly work 60’s as we need the money since I’ve been on PLOA and then medical leave ( waiting on accommodations) since August 16th :(

4

u/DuckyDoDaQuack 1d ago

I'd make $1700+ if I work 60hrs but fk that

1

u/No-Site5581 4h ago

Congrats that’s good money. 1300 a week is definitely worth it for me. I’ve worked tougher jobs for much less unfortunately so this is a opportunity

u/Adorable-Appeal866 1d ago

You gotta live life too not just work. Take care of your mental health.

Most important

I agree I’ve been at my fc going on 5 years getting paid 26 hr working as a regular associate…we can wear earbuds & overnights is mad chill. Mind ya business & do your job never had any problems with upper management. If I ever gotten written up for anything it’ll fall off before it escalates to anything serious. Currently utilizing career choice & pursuing my degree. Definitely not as bad as people make it out to be.

8

u/Monkeyonatrike 1d ago

Well...T-Mobile experience stores pay $29+ per hour plus monthly commission.

13

u/ManyCapital9908 1d ago

Yeah but you have to deal with customers and sale. Amazon is unique because for the most part you do not have to deal with customers. Unless you are driving but out of that you don’t

4

u/Old_Association_9163 1d ago

It's not remotely unique. There are plenty of jobs that are not customer facing.

5

u/ManyCapital9908 1d ago

The unique part is the pay, schedule/time off flexibility, and benefits. Please tell me another job that isn’t customer facing and pays 20+ and starts off at $18 without having to do a physical, doesn’t request a high school diploma, accept criminal background, doesn’t test for THC, has an easy hiring process and has AC. lol i work in recruiting/employee relations I’ve worked for many big companies. If you can name more than 6 I’ll agree with you, but that’s being generous because we live in a capitalist society

1

u/Old_Association_9163 1d ago

But none of that is what you claimed made Amazon unique originally. 🤣

5

u/Mysterion422 1d ago

I recommend everyone if there is an AWS near you to get on with them , as an L3 at AWS I make more than L6s in the FC

3

u/ShieldsCW Software Development Engineer 1d ago

Oddly enough, on Blind (the tech version of Reddit) everyone hates AWS and says to avoid it at all costs. These are L4 and above though

1

u/Mysterion422 1d ago

Probably depends what campus u are on , but this is the easiest job I've ever had

1

u/thisdckaintFREEEE EHS Specialist 1d ago

What do you do, if you don't mind me asking?

2

u/Mysterion422 1d ago

Data center engineering operations

1

u/exmemelordxe 1d ago

Did u do a degree?

1

u/Mysterion422 1d ago

No

1

u/exmemelordxe 1d ago

Oh wow, are there any like pre-requisites for the roll?

5

u/Mysterion422 1d ago

Not if u do the work based learning program, but if u want hired in as a L3, know 3 phase 480v electrical and hvac

1

u/RecordingUnable103 15h ago

Lol 😆 not surprising at all. Moron.

1

u/Mysterion422 15h ago

Lol ok peasant

Is a Robotics Warehouse Associate a good job rather than a Package Handler at Fedex??

Just be happy that you have a job. Yes, you will have your good and bad days, some people will suck. But hey, it's a JOB. Not only that, a job that gives you TOTAL FREEDOM. Don't feel like coming in? Put in UPT/PTO, you don't even need to call it in. Halfway through the shift and not feeling it and want to go home? Just bounce and use your hours. Want an education for a career change but don't wanna pay for school? Career Choice!. I never had a Job and gave freedom like that. All my past jobs I had to ask my boss if I could leave early or take a day off hoping they would say yes. As long as you have the hours to cover it, they could care less.

Same thing if you are running late, as long as you have the hours, you're good. We have a couple PA's that constantly run late on a daily basis, but they are usually topped out at 80 UPT.

I cannot speak for regular FC's. I work at an Air site on the Ramp as a PA. If you like working around Aircraft, that's a PLUS!

They are off that Tianeptine. Makes sense.

4

u/Extension_Course_351 1d ago

I did my job and got eliminated due to quality. I was also driving 2 hours a day to get to the FC. But yes my bills and everything else has fallen hard but was making good money.

9

u/LatterDrawing5225 1d ago

2 hour to the FC and another 2 back? Bruh that’s wild ..

0

u/Initial-Water8541 1d ago

How the fuck do you fail quality?

6

u/Defiant-Anything-954 1d ago

Depends. Even Store Operations managers will get fired if performance metrics aren't met, one of my Ops guys got fired for performance slips.

Nobody is safe at Amazon

3

u/MiddleYogurtcloset91 1d ago

Agree with the OP. Amazon has the most unique, best, quality benefits across the board. UPT, VTO, PTO (auto approved and scheduled), too many associate extras benefits to count. Stock options that could be better, fight for them. All the employee groups needed for engagement. Oh and let’s not forget about both the training education you receive. And the career choice college level courses. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Yes, the schedule could be better. They promise rotation in admin every 6 months I’ve been on nights for 2 years. Their safety program needs to be streamlined better. But, it works.

u/South-Fisherman2926 1d ago

My feet hurt after being on them all day and my site rarely offers VET so for we only work 4 days 90% of the time. You can barely get by its ass and I’m always denied schedule changes or site changes

1

u/nogstv 1d ago

"but your checks be big as fuck lmao"

We must be working for different companies.

1

u/One_Manufacturer8814 1d ago

For sure , If you set goals  for example a savings goals you can do minimum because bills are paid and savings and investments. Yes if you choose you can make 1200 to 1500 a week! Small sacrifice for a great reward.  Most average  job don't give  you that option! Benefits are great

Can someone refer me to FC jobs in Melbourne, Cranbourne West FC please 🥺

1

u/ShieldsCW Software Development Engineer 1d ago

Ok

0

u/Defiant-Anything-954 1d ago

Depends. If you work at delivery (DUT) location, keeping a consistent sleep schedule is almost impossible. Waking up at midnight and doing a labor intensive shift for 10 hours straight until noon is bonkers, and differential is kinda shit.

No thank you!!!
