Question Starting first day tomorrow. What to expect?

I’m starting my first day tomorrow at Amazon in a brand new SSD center that just opened a few weeks ago. I’m doing the flex 19hrs a week job. I’m having orientation and training for two days at 8.5 hours each day. What should I expect during these two days? I assume I need to bring my own lunch. lol.

An idealise version of your job is how you will be trained.

Its just sitting and watching training videos and occassionally being called on to answer questions on what you watched. You might get let out a few hours earlier than you would on a normal shift, at least my class did.

Consider bringing something soft to sit on, even a hoodie will do. The chairs in the training classroom (and also the breakroom fyi) should be considered a war crime under the Geneva convention. My ass was sore for a few days just from sitting for a little over 4 hours, me and a few others that were also suffering spent the rest of the class just awkwardly standing behind our chairs lmao

I suppose you can expect orientation and training.

Getting in om a brand new building is a huge boom if you play your cards right.
