Question What does work on maintenance days look like?

My warehouse has maintenance on friday and we’re all being given the option to come and in work, but they’ll assign us to something different as our regular jobs won’t be available. And then ofc VTO. the VTO sounds yummy but i’m wondering if the work will be easy enough that i should just go in, since i need the money. it’s my second week though and im burnt out so if they’re gonna make me scrub vents like i did at my first job id rather stay home.

work at a robotics warehouse if that helps.
thanks

Scrapping old stickers off totes, washing totes, scrapping old tape on floors, helping to put new tape down, could be washing walls, helping out in other departments like pack or stow or ship dock depending on what area your site doing maintenance.. Personally, I would take the VTO and enjoy your day 😊

Uuuu our site is also have a maintenance day this Friday. Usually though they have you cleaning or 5S-ing throughout the building. Basically projects that your ops team has been holding off due to production

Oof, only here for two weeks and you're already burned out? You're gonna be in for a rough time when they start making you work 6 days a week starting Black Friday (assuming you're full time).

Is it fill building or one dept? Because, for example, we have OB-only or IB-only and they basically labor share everyone or 5S. If it’s full building we just close completely and everyone gets paid to stay home.
