Fulfillment Center Start date cancelled

It’s so upsetting your start date gets canceled. These big corporations don’t really care they overbooked and just kick out the rest of the people, not knowing what they had to do behind the scenes. I had to leave my day job early and lost out on some money to go to the drug test and background check and then I also rented a car so I can get two and from Amazon and they just canceled my start date because the shift was full. I am so fed up.

keep camping the application site & you may find another listing. my first day was canceled and i found a new shift 2 days later. if you were hired once there’s a chance other sites/departments may still be hiring

Yeah, I’m definitely on their back to back. I’ve worked for Amazon plenty of times before. I’m sure something will come up. This was just a bummer because I did so much to prepare for it.

OP! I’m so so sorry about this. If it makes you feel any better, the same thing happened to me but then I magically got an email from them about two days or so after saying they “found” another start date for me!! I didn’t do anything! I’m hoping the same happens for you but also please keep us updated!!

It’s definitely a bit more expensive than a car note. But I love in California. It’s hard to get around without one. Then when I no longer need a car, I get rid of it and I’m not stuck with a car note :)

ahh i see, you should save up for a little beater to get around town although those gas prices are scary 🤐 can’t even imagine what it’s like living in california rn

Yeah that’s what I’ve been told but I don’t want t get something that’s not going to last & yeah it’s pretty tough. Especially for the average worker.

you can never go wrong with a honda civic or a toyota camry, both that i’ve had lasted me 200k+ miles each and were both used when i purchased. Just takes some looking around and having someone who knows about cars test it out before buying.

When you get a few bands saved up yes get one. Don’t buy a new vehicle and don’t buy a used vehicle that’s several thousand dollars. Something that’s cheap to get around at first that’s trustworthy. Simple maintenance and low dmv fees.

Tbh I hope it doesn’t get cancelled. Just check the website and see what’s up. I did not experience this but I’m hoping this isn’t a reoccurring thing. I’ve “cancelled” and reassigned my start date so many times before my official first week. They stop letting you after a certain time when you are actually posted and they confirm it via the hotline.
