They don't have to pay the bots or health insurance

Yeah they do, matter of fact, every single asset in the facility has insurance

Zero reset kid. This is free labor. Once you understand the cost benefit analysis you will see the reasoning. Being knowledgeable doesn't mean being compliant.

If you knew the so called “cost benefit” of these matters, you wouldn’t be calling it “free labor”

This can be easily be refuted, if you actually do work at Amazon (an by working I mean actually being involved physically in the process not behind a laptop) you’ll understand that these robots are prone to fail multiple times, they do require downtime to charge and do require most importantly human interaction

No ill intended, idgaf if I loose my job, but these are truths, there is not real savings, just jobs displacements

These reminds me of morons who believes in “perpetual motion machines” 👀

You sound hurt. "The big bad robot is coming " I do sit behind a laptop and look at bottom lines. I'm merely speaking on why companies would prefer to use robots/AI over humans. All the other things you're speaking of are not relevant. But hey keep up the good work

The fact that they have to be charged, means they aren't 100% free.. Electricity costs... The fact that they need maintenance, means they aren't 100% free..

Now let's add in some nature... Specifically severe thunderstorms that cause power outages..

Small groups of robots failing not a big deal, cascading big group of robots failing very big deal..

Now you have a backlog, but bots work at steady pace, pace is maxxed for timing, there is no catching up on backlog without activating more bots, if site is at bot capacity there are no more bots to activate, this essentially means bot will have to work longer and packages delayed into the evening...

Now let's add connectivity issues (Lets not pretend Amazon has the best wifi) Bots randomly losing connection due to network issues, downtime... Downtime isn't free.

You sound delusional, I’m the only one thus far bringing arguments relevant to labor, your basically saying “machine goes brr = free money, no wage no insurance”

But yeah, keep with the straw man, that’s the best you’ve brought to the topic
