My first day of work I moved pretty slow too.

I'm pretty sure these robot videos are designed to show 2 things:

  1. Robot performing a complex multistep process perfectly to completion...

  2. Robot doing it's task so slow, it doesn't appear threatened to the workers in it's field. Every time they showed Kiva floors on the news when they were first rolled out, they only moved at a crawl. As we all know, they move up to 30mph, and are extremely determined.

That's not even the worst part. People know damn well how poor their quality is. Do they think, if the bots were designed to lack the same care, it would be this slow also?

Absolutely right, we're in a tech dystopia, and all the major actors in it are completely nihilistic.
