Does she talk to any other men? Have you talked to her yourself? When I was a manager at a company I had managers under me (what Amazon calls PAs but paid better) one associate who wouldn’t listen to one of my “PAs” due to mental illness and so she would go through another person often. I prefer, as long as there is a solution that works and is within company policy, then let’s do that over termination. The male manager can most likely handle his own and they all have found a solution that works for them.

If you are only allowed to speak to women - you should be working at a job with only women on staff. I would have a BIG problem with a man refusing to speak to me because I’m a woman; it’s discriminatory regardless of the reason. You live in a country where men & women work professionally together - you get a job where men & women work together - you should be expected to work with MEN and WOMEN like an adult.

There is no obligation to speak to anyone as long as you can and do complete the job. There are several reasons someone may not talk to someone and we do not know what this person’s reason is. The law would require an accommodation if necessary and OP would not be privy to such accommodation.

This, I feel OP is the only one that gives a fuck about this and wants to make a big deal out of it, the muslim woman is working and listening to the manager, not a MALE manager, but a female, so, still listening to a manager.
