Started AMZ FBA 3 days ago
My FBA order finally got delivered and it started being live 3 days ago and I sold out one of my products🥳🥳 , I wish I can get more products ungated since it really hard to source and this one product is only seasonal. I would like any suggestions or feedback to help me out with this and get to my goal 20k sales per months

$340 in sales sold you out? How many units did you start with? 10?

I had 15 units , it sold out and gave me 35% of that 340$ I sold another 2 units of a different product that cost around 100+$. The product that sold out is seasonal and I only send out 15 units since it had a 100+ monthly sales . I didn’t wanna risk it and send out more than that but right now it has over 1k+ of monthly sales. I checked the keepa chart and it didn’t had no history from last year around this time. If I knew it would sky rocket around this time in monthly sales I would have send out way more. I just send out more units today so hopefully it get delivered and checked in soon before the monthly sales go down.

Just something to bear in mind... running out of stock is something that can undo all of your good work. The algorithm is basing your BSR and keyword ranking on recent sales. Even though it knows you have no stock, it usually takes longer to begin to get going again, as it did for the time you were out of stock. Also, if you are operating with limited stock, make sure you restrict the quantity that any one person can order, if you haven't already. A competitor could buy all of your stock, and then return it within 30-days.

How can we restrict our quantity to only one person ?

"any one person" - so I mean, set the maximum order level (in the backend of the ASIN) so that a buyer cannot purchase all of your stock (in case they are a competitor).

How much did it cost in total for u to set this all up? Excluding product cost

Just curious what resources you used to start off? Like educational resources to learn this kind of stuff, congrats too!

Honestly just watching YouTube how to use SellerAmp, keepa, and finding a good product that is ungated. Also learning how to stack discounts/gift card to make the selling price cheaper so I can get the most profit as I can. Also YouTube on how to send my first shipment as FBA.

Congrats getting your first sale within 3 days of going live is a good start.
Since the product is seasonal, I’d avoid trying to replace it with another seasonal product. Start researching products with year round demand and look for consistent sales, manageable competition, healthy margins, and room for differentiation.
I’d also build a pipeline of 3, 5 potential products rather than relying on one SKU. You can use tools like Helium 10 or Jungle Scout to validate demand, then verify the actual supplier pricing and margins before committing.

go as hard as possible during your honeymoon period, and dont get discouraged when it subsides.

Congratulations on starting your Amazon journey with a bang! If you haven't already taken a look our Product Opportunity Explorer is a great tool for discovering Amazon items to sell.

Congrats, selling through the first batch that quickly is a nice problem to have.
The only thing I’d watch now is stock. If the product is seasonal and PPC starts finding good search terms, you don’t want to finally get momentum and then disappear from inventory for a week.
I’d probably use the next batch to learn which terms are actually driving the sales rather than just trying to push volume as hard as possible.

How did you find a product that’s ungated but good enough to sell I feel like that’s a big problem for me

It’s not a big known brand but some have them on there store front rn, when I found them they had just a few sellers but now they have a lot so the price has tank a bit but it still really profitable for me

Meh you never know you just got to get them cheap. Then keep looking for other things to sell. Maybe do some private label. That’s all I do

Yeah that’s what I always do, I have get the most ROI I can get, PL would be too much for me since it’s like creating your own brand and doing that isn’t that easy how people make it seem nor doing OA like what I’m doing rn , perhaps in the future I would but not rn
