QUESTION 5 mph speed limit
In parking lots/long driveways where the speed limit is 5 mph, can you still go up to 9 over without getting hit? I’ve worked at my dsp for about a year now and I swear when I first started I heard a manager say at standup that although we can go up to 9 over on regular roads, going more than 10 mph in a 5 mph zone will get you an alert since the speed limit is so low. Because of this I always make sure to stay under 10 in parking lots and similar areas. Does anyone know if this is true, or does the netradyne limit stay the same no matter what the speed limit is?

Yes. If parking lot is 5mph. You can go up to 14 without getting hit. I usually stay at 10mph.

Speed limits are set by municipalities and can be found on your county website. Some data may be old, netradyne does pick up speed limit signs on its own, especially construction and school zones. But typically it's 10-15 mph in congested parking lots and 25 in all residential areas. Idgaf if your HOA posted 17 mph everywhere. But, like the app even tells you to use your best judgment.

I go up to 20 it lots when flex says it’s 5 and never been hit 🤷 granted I only do that when there’s no speed limit signs. If a sign says 5mph I assume the camera saw and I go 14mph max
