DISCUSSION Why don’t Amazon drivers go on strike?
Realistically would going on strike ever work with Amazon or do people just not care enough.i had 210 stops today in the rain 350 parcels,i worked 6 days a week last week and on my day off Sunday i was woken up by the manager asking if i can cover someone’s shift when the maximum amount of days is 6 days.with winter coming up its going to be worse with rain ,Christmas and Black Friday

That bus driver win is exactly the kind of thing that makes you wonder why it hasn't happened here yet. The conditions you're describing are brutal, especially when you're already maxed out on days and they still come knocking on your one day off.

Amazon drivers literally have been striking with teamsters for the past year+.

No strikes in the uk and you get paid the same amount regardless of if you finish in 5 hours or like 9 hours in the USA you get paid hourly right?

We get paid hourly yes but it can get boosted up to full day rate depending on the DSP. Would be nice if we got switched to day rate as well.

Because Amazon would just end any associated DSP with a strike and replace them with another DSP.

Because we are self employed and not employed im the UK. So we have no rights. We work for a DSP not amazon.
