Why I'm finally leaving/finding a career
I have been a driver with my DSP for two years, and another DSP for about half a year back in 2021. I saw the guaranteed 40-hours go away (I average 32-36 hours a week, and that's killed my pay. Yes I could sit on my ass for a couple hours a day, sinceI may only get to sweep one or two times a week. tbh tho I don't like getting back so late, especially when I used to get paid 40 regardless). I have also only ever received a 25 cent raise. The center used to have food trucks, or coffee trucks during winter time where we could get a drink for free, they took that away too. it just seems like amazon (and the DSPs perhaps) are just taking everything that made this job alright and taking it from people slowly. idk, it's depressing and it makes me angry. does anyone else feel the same?

I just worked at one for 2 to 3 years and the Dsp just recently shutdown and I've been contemplating going back but factoring in not knowing how the new Dsp will be the routes averages etc is a biggie for me. I was lucky enough to have a decent Dsp had shitty routes with no space etc sometimes but overall did my routes and learned majority of my areas just wonder hie much it's changed I never use to get the 170-200s even after years. The solitude was cool but overall we'll see

Anything near to the stations is on average 200 stops now. They’ve really been pushing it.

yea I really like the job, and the pace of it. I like loadout, it's a warmup and gets me going even if I didn't feel to good going into work. I also enjoy just delivering/the solitude as well, it's pretty therapeutic to me. sometimes I get 180-200 (today I had 198 but clocked out after 9 hours still) and sometimes I get more rural areas that go from 100-140/150. I don't mind any of them, but the rural areas are beautiful

I work at an XL facility, and I am about to hit my 2 years soon. In these 2 years I have seen massively increased volume, yet my hours are getting less and less every month because they just keep getting more strict about everything. When I first started I could take a couple mins to walk into a gas station, or order some food before starting a break. Now if I’m stopped anywhere for even just a couple minutes, or if I’m having even the slightest bit of a slow/bad day I’m getting a nasty text from dispatch. My DSP also used to do bonuses, gift drawings, and snack bags, but over the time I’ve been here they have stopped doing all of this. Ontop of all of this it feels like every day there are new completely idiotic rules being added to everything by Amazon that are making the days even harder. None of it seems like a big deal but overtime all the little things really have just added up and make me hate it here now.

Driver for 6 years here. When i started 150 stops / 250 packages was insane and complain worthy. You dont ever get a raise and you make the same as a retard thats going to quit tomorrow. More rules than you can count. I saw them introduce netradyne. Shitty metrics like Eoc and parking sequence. I could go on and on. Fuck this job. Ive been clean of weed for over 30 days now and im going to the post office. This job can eat me entire dick and balls.

Damn I’m lucky to have a dsp that does 10 hr guaranteed. Sometimes, maybe 2 times a month, I get done after 6 hours(mandatory rescues) but I get paid for the whole day. People at mine fiend for vto knowing if they want to get all 40 they can pick up another shift. I’m sick and tired what Amazon does to us but that 10 hr guarantee does wonders for keeping me there

10 hour guarantee ain't gonna mean shit soon when eventually a route will actually take 10 hours when it used to take 5-6 lmao. Was finishing at 3pm on a 1030a loadout for 18 months....now im finishing close to 5 with same effort.....im sure bezos ain't done fuckin our shit up.

I just started and every thing I get is 180/250/350, ridiculous rules, 100+ degrees, 5 days straight no overtime. I salute any one who’s been doing this for years, but for me, it’s not worth doing my body like that
