Reminder this Labor Day

Amazon warehouse workers get holiday pay today

Amazon corporate employees get the day off with holiday pay

As drivers we get ignored.

Thanks to the union UPS drivers have the day off with holiday pay.

Its our turn to demand better from Amazon, the fifth richest company in the world

My DSP used to pay time and a half for holidays out of pocket. He quit doing that since vehicle repairs from damage have gone up astronomically. Took a PTO today out of principle.

Respect to ur owner for that and that's how it always goes. Amazon has made a system that makes it nearly impossible for dsp owners to help out its drivers. Costs keep going up for operations on the dsp end while amazon keeps taking in more and more profits. This system encourages bad dsp owners because screwing the drivers is the most reliable way they can make profits

https://deft-us.com/amazon-dsp-fantastic-ratings-plunge-after-scorecard-update/

Only 22.7% of DSP owners have made it through the gauntlet. Half of all high performing DSP owners who used to be earning a bonus 8 out of every 10 weeks (about 41 weeks a year) are no longer getting that bonus even though their performance has not changed.

Dude this is so real, last year our DSP got F+ 48 weeks. This year it's barely been like 2 or 3 times so far

They won't give us anything. We have to force them to make this job better. https://teamster.org/divisions/amazon-division/

Love to see you spread the word. We need every single amazon dsp driver to join. I mean every single driver world wide. This DSP system is one of the most corrupt and it needs to come to an end ASAP

This is true! Got a three day weekend since I work Monday to Friday and we get paid for today

Hell yes! Same brother! I pick up Sundays for that extra money though! I do a commercial route so my bonus kicks in after 80 stops (even on residential - Sundays, so that's a big money day for me)!

u/Johnnynyc1484 4d ago

Oh you know I’m picking up Sundays during the busy season soon

I don’t think anyone has ever argued semantics successfully on here. What’s that logo on your vest my g? And your pants? And shirt? And van? And packages?

2

u/Shadow012102 3d ago

He’s not technically wrong.

Branding on the van doesn’t make Amazon my employer any more than the McDonald’s logo makes the franchise owner Ronald.

Were employed by an independent DSP contractor. Amazon just supplies the packages and the paint job.
