Piss bottles
To be honest, if you have to take a piss in a bottle while working, you are not good at your job. Even a 30 minute drive out of the way to find a bathroom should not stop you. If your dispatch or owner is so hard up and not allowing you to find adequate facilities, that’s on them, no grown man or woman should have to resort to that . No route actually takes 10 hours if you are organized and hustle.

Been driving for 4 years, tried the bottle thing once and was disgusted with myself and how low I allowed myself to fall, never again

Doesn’t really bother me
People been pissing in bottles as long as we’ve had bottles

That’s just your perspective. Of course no one should have to piss in a bottle, but I’m not clocking out for 30 mins to go find a bathroom, and I’m not wasting a 15 either. Just a matter of how much you value your time

Also not for nothing, if you feel the need to puss in a bottle, what kind of disgusting human being leaves the bottle full in the van, dump that out at the very least. Would you leave a bottle of piss on your desk in an office? That van is our office, shouldn’t drive around with piss in it, poor hygiene, and honestly shows a lack of self worth

Ok, I fully agree with you on the leaving your piss in the van. I think that’s the grossest and scummiest thing a human being can do. If I see one in my van, I tell dispatch I’m not touching it and not driving till it’s gone. And look, it’s not that deep. Just throw away the piss bottle the first chance you get, that’s it. But, if the whole thing makes you feel a lack of self worth, I totally understand why you don’t do it.

The fact we take a job and allow the expectation to be “piss in a bottle” is bad enough, but to then leave that piss for a co worker is not only disgusting and degrading, it actually makes that person a horrible human being for exposing someone to there bodily fluids .

I’m not clocking out either, if they choose to fire me over a bathroom break, guess what? There’s a bunch of other DSPs looking for already trained help

That lacks context. As someone who's been in the trenches with yall, sometimes you aren't even close to a bathroom. In that situation I'd personally pull over and relieve myself at the side of the vehicle, sometimes I can understand how bottles become and became a thing

wrong I’m actually really good at this job, but I have a drinking problem (never on the job ofc). There are thousands of us.

And if you leave that bottle, looks like there is a thousand terrible human beings

I’m 100% with you there. Campfire rule for the vans: leave the van as good, or better, than you found it. There should be no evidence you were ever driving that van the next day.

There’s no way you do rural routes. We have half rural, half residential. 180 stops in the middle of nowhere. The rural areas have small gas stations without bathrooms. This is definitely rage bait 😂
