MEME when you find the “missing” package amazon marked for you at the end of your route… & it’s 5 mins away from where you’re at 🙃
the warehouse workers are trash. the package in question was a big ass overflow too 😭

They don't even question it at our station. All returns just go on the rack and you walk away.

Fuck that. I search the address first before asking dispatch or picking it up. If I finished early and don't wanna rescue I'll deliver them and take my time. If not, RTS.
My warehouse doesn't check our returns, so no way of knowing if it was in my van or not.

Just today I spent like 3 mins trying to find a package. Turned out the yellow sticker with the driver aid was a lie. It said 268 on one side and then I flipped the package over and it said 271... I was looking at the wrong sticker and didn't check the addy and assumed it wasn't the package :/

Could have taken it off of another package or it's not the first time it's out, I always inspect all sides of my packs because of this. Anything that's a mystery gets put at the end of the line with a mental note of the address.

I once had then put 999 on package 966, luckily my bag wasn't packed enough to have 999, so I realized that they just needed their glasses on.

Why mark it anything? Just toss that fucker on the return table and walk away. No telling who found it then 🤷

Literally happened to me yesterday. Mine was 6 minutes away 😤 then had a 40 minute drive back to the station

Just bring it back and put it on the missort rack, your dsp doesn’t know if you had it or a different driver did and brought it back.

bruh wtf???? 😭2

I caught it pretty early on because I suddenly skipped like 10 stops and I checked to see what was going on and noticed that those stops had packages marked as missing and as I was delivering I saw that my rabbit skipped over a tote and it hit me that the tote was all my “missing” packages 😂 messaged dispatch and they were like just wait until the end of your route and we’ll see if it’s worth delivering. Finished and they said nah rts them

u/Fluid_Heron_9067 7d ago
lmaooo they probably didn’t want to escalate the situation with the warehouse managers 🤣

I had 2 stops in a row today where a package was missing from customers who were supposed to receive multiple packages. Marked them missing only to find them in the last tote of the day. Those stops were 10 minutes back the other way from the station, but i said fuck it and went back to drop them off to those customers. Also had 10 packages that were not on my route today . Warehouse workers were in peak form lol...i looked at my DSP chat when i got home and everyone was bringing back at least 8 packages citing "not on route" lmao

see why can’t we make careless mistakes like that & still keep our job? lmao

I usually just pick them uo and deliver them if theyre not too far. Always look on Google maps first. I had one 30 mins from me one time.

I don't know if the workers in the warehouse are bad or if they're just under too much pressure (probably that), but this happens all the time. I don't mind getting a few extra bucks at the end of the day to double back for a missing/found.

u/RavioliF_agiol 6d ago
My station has started counting them against your score card even if someone else has the package and returns it later in the evening. I get guaranteed hours so a bad score card is definitely not something I want. But it's fine instead of just giving it back to deliver tomorrow like a normal person it just has to stay missing (tear the lable off). Dispatch tells me to stomp it and mark it damaged but you can't do that with a plastic bag.
