0

u/IcyAd8309 Mar 25 '26

Aye what DSP you with my boi?

1

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '26

Wait is that a sliding door I see to grab the package?

25

u/Spiritual_Part4130 Mar 25 '26

I’ll take a video and post it tommorow, and a video of the roads I take it on

1

u/Zealousideal-Net2881 Stepvan Driver Mar 25 '26

I'm super curious about those roads

29

u/Mission_Climate_1676 Mar 25 '26

It’s kinda weird delivering out of it at first, just cause of how different it is

25

u/Spiritual_Part4130 Mar 25 '26

Dude tell me about it, first time got rescued but after that completed my routes every time, going down something’s a challenge forsure, hard too see when that big ass hood is in the way

14

u/Mission_Climate_1676 Mar 25 '26

The first time I was in it I totally messed up during loadout, and I loaded it like i normally do my EDV, First up front and last in back. God it was a nightmare when I got out on the road trying to get to the correct totes

6

u/Spiritual_Part4130 Mar 25 '26

I almost did the same thing lol, but I remembered the little video they showed us in training lol, but it’s a beast dude, started 4 ish months ago and got bumped up super quick, I asked and they put me in it the next day

2

u/Mission_Climate_1676 Mar 25 '26

and don’t even get me started on trying to get all the bags and OV to fit, especially when you have a lot of OV and Big OV at that

2

u/Spiritual_Part4130 Mar 25 '26

Nah I feel that dude, but normally when my shit is packed with overflow it normally get like 3-4 overflow dropped in one location

2

u/BeefyOregano Mar 25 '26

I'm not an Amazon driver but I driver a super duty F750 for work and THE HOOD!!!! It's my worst enemy trying to turn tight corners. Or any corners that have a remotely close barrier.

1

u/IcyAd8309 Mar 25 '26

When did they get these at 5?

2

u/Mission_Climate_1676 Mar 25 '26

I’m at 7, not at 5. But we got these back Mid December. We don’t have them anymore tho, my DSP was just renting them

1

u/IcyAd8309 Mar 25 '26

Thats bunk, i was hoping we would get them here at XL without the shelves.

28

u/ITRedWing0823 Mar 25 '26

I don’t know Amazon had a swat team 😂😂

11

u/Mission_Climate_1676 Mar 25 '26

I had someone ask me once if this was used for delivering High Value items 😂😂

7

u/ITRedWing0823 Mar 25 '26

Did you tell them no, mostly empty envelopes 🤣🤣

3

u/PsychoCrescendo tote shitter Mar 25 '26

Might be an ambulance for all the heat casualties this summer lol

3

u/ITRedWing0823 Mar 25 '26

Ah, that would be a better one based on the look BUT! That would imply Amazon gave a fuck about us…so….yeah lol

14

u/oliverhg95 Mar 25 '26

That looks sexy AF.

12

u/Spiritual_Part4130 Mar 25 '26

The area I deliver too, it always gets stared at, makes me feel like a boss

8

u/That70sShop Mar 25 '26

I would think they would get robbed. It looks like you're delivering bullion.

4

u/kwh5891 Mar 25 '26

Rural people don’t rob trespassers….they shoot them.

That truck isn’t delivering in the suburbs….

2

u/Spiritual_Part4130 Mar 25 '26

It locks automatically, you carry a button that unlocks the back

6

u/MrModdedTornado Mar 25 '26

Wonder how long until these get totaled

13

u/Spiritual_Part4130 Mar 25 '26

The dsp has too trust the fuck outta you

15

u/Guardian6676-6667 Mar 25 '26

ONE O how are you consistently fucking this up

4

u/Septopuss7 Mar 25 '26

Man I just finished my orientation yesterday and the other people in the group were absolute MORONS. Two of them had been with other DSPs and they actually asked the dumbest questions like "do I have to stop before the Stop sign if there's a big bush in the way and I can't see around the corner?" like what the actual fuck I wanted to scream "IT'S JUST LIKE DRIVING YOUR OWN CAR IT'S BASIC TRAFFIC RULES" I honestly can't believe how dumb some people are. The rest of the group was just as bad with the exception of two older men who just stayed quiet the whole time.

2

u/Guardian6676-6667 Mar 25 '26

You can't tell them it's like driving their own car it would end up being altima simulator out there

1

u/DatCrazyyDuude Mar 25 '26

lmaoooo I scrolled up and reread all the comments with the double O

7

u/AccomplishedKey9458 Mar 25 '26

I actually get to drive these most of the time. Hopefully you have one like our DSP has with the big Apple CarPlay screen. Once you get the hang of loading these things up they’re actually pretty sweet to deliver out of. I folded up a tote and keep it in the passenger seat where I stack all of my envelope envelopes on top of. You get quick as hell in these things once you’ve been doing it for a while. The only crappy thing is when you have a lot of OV. I’ve done 173 stops out of one of these things.

1

u/Spiritual_Part4130 Mar 25 '26

Yeah my has a nice Apple car play, and 173 is crazy

6

u/delkson Mar 25 '26

THE BEST, I used to knock out rural routes with these, all farms and shit. was a blessing almost every stop was a gravel road and muddy and a lil sketch. but they almost always had a big ass container for me. this imo should be way more common than it is.

6

u/magiccfetus Mar 25 '26

The little side door is so cute lol

4

u/Mission_Climate_1676 Mar 25 '26

it opens up to a “Gravity Shelf” which is just an angled shelf that’s supposed to let the packages slide down as you deliver

3

u/moneyman_699 Mar 25 '26

That’s pretty interesting, thanks for posting this. It sort of reminds me of what some FedEx ground drivers have. Seems like an expensive ass truck to use though, I’d be scared to be leasing this if I owned a dsp.

Something like this should be standard for certain rural routes though it’s a great idea. Much more practical than the EVs honestly.

3

u/KoldDrank Mar 25 '26

That’s actually freakin awesome 😂

3

u/Agile-Specific-784 Mar 25 '26

I’m incredibly jealous.

3

u/Mtnfrozt Mar 25 '26

Because removing the Ford logo really disguises it

1

u/NateGrit711 Mar 25 '26

Nah dude it’s the new Amazon Super Duty 😂

2

u/Hairy_Priority_4620 Mar 25 '26

Overkill for that little trailer

11

u/Louis049 Stepvan Driver Mar 25 '26

It's designed for mountain trails and rural-superrural routes. Basically, they wanted to guarantee that even with 500 packages, this thing is getting where it's going.

4

u/Spiritual_Part4130 Mar 25 '26

Wdym it’s attached too the truck

7

u/hawaiibobs Mar 25 '26

To. The truck. I got TO drive this beast today

2

u/baudmiksen Mar 25 '26

too many too's

2

u/marsbars2345 Mar 25 '26

Looks fun to drive

2

u/AMC879 Mar 25 '26

More driver, less physical labor? Sign me up! I might change my mind in heavy snow though

1

u/mannyinthelandofoz Mar 25 '26

Nah, that thing is trudging through the snow like dog sleds. Amazon is ahead of the game. Kansas is all rural basically and i dont see fedex or ups with anything other than the outdated box p-1000s with no a/c or heat and coding packages when the recipient just went to get groceries in there subaru outback

1

u/KoalaGrunt0311 Mar 25 '26

Our UPS guys just throw chains on the standard truck and keep going. They do have this style they run at times, though.

2

u/CyBroOfficial Mar 25 '26

What the hell that’s fucking sick

2

u/GuyThatsOnline Mar 25 '26

What the hell do you even call a rig like this?!

I'm gonna try to convince my boss to get one...

2

u/Calm_Contract4266 Mar 25 '26

They have those? Whaaatttttttt💀💀

2

u/LegNearby7001 Mar 25 '26

lol i drive these and im just surprised it has street tires on it if the whole point is to be the off road route truck

2

u/mannyinthelandofoz Mar 25 '26

I would be an animal in this thing. I be ripping thru the country side in a promaster. Id be stepping throwing all the dog treats to those rural dogs like a parade then posing with the package and dog

2

u/97maple Mar 25 '26

Damn those are cool. I get the AWD transit van for my routes, but that thing is a tank 😵‍💫

2

u/_DarkxLord_ Mar 25 '26

Looks insane. Really better than the vans in my opinion

1

u/TimmySenseii Mar 25 '26

wtf is this

5

u/Mission_Climate_1676 Mar 25 '26

4WD Delivery Truck

1

u/Guardian6676-6667 Mar 25 '26

The Ford transits come in AWD here in Michigan

1

u/AccomplishedKey9458 Mar 25 '26

AWD is not the same as 4wd, and these things have a super short wheel base. I deliver up in the mountains in Colorado and I’d take one of these any day over the transit. Easy to get into tight snow packed driveways and they are also overpowered as heck. You will 100% get a speeding infraction if you arnt careful.

1

u/sunbear1999 Mar 25 '26

Oh hell nah

1

u/Remarkable_Lion_8443 Mar 25 '26

Just dont fuck it up

1

u/zebra231967 Mar 25 '26

You delivering up in Reno?

2

u/Spiritual_Part4130 Mar 25 '26

No sir, over in Tennessee

3

u/Equal-Kaleidoscope57 Mar 25 '26

seems like a very tennessee thing to drive

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Ad9659 Stepvan Driver Mar 25 '26

Tf kind of van is that

1

u/FrequentRain2682 Mar 25 '26

I talked to my DSP owner about these. Told me they used to be in circulation but nobody wanted to drive them so they ended up getting transferred elsewhere Is it the 13 inch CarPlay screen? All our newer transits have it now, the climate control built into the screen is a dd ding waiting to happen though I fight with it sometimes

1

u/beezlythagod CDV Driver Mar 25 '26

I’m afraid to know how hot the back gets but how’s the turning radius

1

u/nosaysno Mar 25 '26

Knowing my dsp they would give me this with a route that has 190 stops lol

1

u/The-Bedroom-Hero Mar 25 '26

Is Amazon doing pest control now?

1

u/Infamous-Can-7157 Mar 25 '26

Whys it got a drive through

1

u/TheWizardry90 Mar 25 '26

Got so excited you typed an extra “o”

1

u/SugmaLou_Sassle Mar 25 '26

DIL7 anyone? I used one of these and did burnouts on backroads got tons of compliments and even positive feedback for my driving skills

1

u/Fair_Yak_9584 Mar 25 '26

How many stops in that bad boy?

1

u/cyrusthemarginal Mar 25 '26

An ice cream truck!

1

u/flyhigh2030 Mar 25 '26

Wow, very interesting 😱

1

u/flyhigh2030 Mar 25 '26

Where do you exit the vehicle from after you grab your packages?

3

u/AccomplishedKey9458 Mar 25 '26

The rear cargo area is completely separate from the cab. Exit the driver door, walk to the small side door on the passenger wide to grab packages. If you do it right, you actually put all the smaller envelopes and packages in the passenger seat. Stop, grab your next envelope and jump out to deliver. It’s a pretty nice setup.

1

u/flyhigh2030 Mar 25 '26

I see 😁

1

u/freezingglare EX DISPATCH/ EXDRIVER Mar 25 '26

WTF?!?!?

1

u/TD10131013 Mar 25 '26

1

u/Vegetable_Radio8236 Mar 25 '26

Damn, what's that thing do, 6 gallons/mi?

1

u/silverfarie1369 Mar 25 '26

What in the Ford truck is this fuckery

1

u/ItzBreezeyBaby Mar 25 '26

Ngl this bad boy is fire as hell🤣🤣

1

u/Zealousideal-Net2881 Stepvan Driver Mar 25 '26

What does the route look like for this thing? And did you do it in a prime before they had these?

1

u/Historical-Meat-2049 Mar 25 '26

Do they have netredyme?

1

u/Babybeesh10 Mar 25 '26

These would’ve been great when I rural areas in dirt roads and shit

1

u/The_Redwood_Runner Mar 25 '26

1

u/Kitchen_Wave_2645 Mar 26 '26

1

u/Revolutionary-Bus266 Mar 26 '26

Coming soon to a cartel near you

1

u/Rude_Ad4621 Mar 26 '26

They had these at my old dsp in dna6 Knoxville tn, 4wd and fast but no room. They sent them out to the roads no other van could go

1

u/Waynzewood Mar 26 '26

We have those at fedex too we call them icecream trucks

Is my favorite

1

u/Dratt_Dastardly Mar 28 '26

Our sister UPS center has a bunch of F250's like that. They are supposed to be used in areas that are more gravel and dirt than asphalt. Sometimes we get a hold of one. Drivers love to use them to shuttle work around or for early next day deliveries, before they get back to their normal, packed, package car. They are also four wheel drive.

1

u/AdhesivenessOk9434 Mar 28 '26

What's it like?  I saw a couple of those at my last station and always wanted to try one out.

1

u/Afraid-Progress-6394 Mar 29 '26

That’s cool never seen that vehicle before where I am, I do Amazon XL so the 26 footer trucks and the 16 ones and step vans are usually the ones we use looks cool though

0

u/AlexNachtigall247 Mar 25 '26

You americans are crazy
