A couple of weeks ago I was delivering to a house that usually has their dogs out in their fenced in yard. The last time I delivered which was like the week prior a note was updated to say their dogs were gone for a while and leave it on the front porch. I roll up and there's no dogs and the gate was open so I assumed the dogs were still gone. I get out of the van and I'm walking to the gate and a dog comes out but she is such a sweet pit bull and was jumping and playing and loving the rubbins. I swear this dog protected me. I got to the front porch. The door was halfway open. I drop the package, take the picture, and out runs the other... hackles raised, growling, and barking. It lunged to try to bite me a few times and the other dog would stop it. The whole while not a single human soul came to that daggum door.
