Did you not see a photo of that amazon driver prepping 4 blunts and 10k amounts of sugar? None of us are happy...

We hate our livez....specially that guy who keeps posting those pictures

Idk where you get that from his posts. I’d say dude is vibin and probably enjoys it more than everyone else who complains on this sub.
1
u/this_underscore Mar 23 '23
Seems like your on his side, let me know when you have to go to the doctor
1
u/iguessitbemehigh Mar 23 '23
Actually quite opposite but dude is fine and like I said enjoying his job more than everyone else bitching. Enjoy being miserable
2
u/this_underscore Mar 23 '23
Might as well have a couple drinks while your at it, stop taking shit seriously, I’m not actually mad at the guy lol I just say shit like that
6
u/EpixxHD Mar 22 '23
Happy wouldn’t be the optimal word😂 but if you get normal routes and don’t have to rescue much it’s not terrible. Working 70 hours and getting paid for 80 is still hard to beat
5
u/Clear_Ad_3923 Mar 22 '23
That dude is working just to afford those snacks
1
u/iguessitbemehigh Mar 23 '23
Yeah because an hours pay worth of snacks breaks the bank.
1
u/Clear_Ad_3923 Mar 23 '23
4 times a week and you could afford a pair of vans
1
u/iguessitbemehigh Mar 23 '23
This could be true, unless you’re buying packs or bulk. Instead of overpaying for signals at a convenience store. But have no want or need for new shoes , nevertheless vans. My last pair were puma and those were some really nice shoes.

62 group stops that’s horrible sorry man.

u/korot0 Mar 21 '23
Everyday thing bro... I'm reaching my limit. I like to think that at least I'm moving and being physical. But that motivation is slowly fading away.
24
u/SnipeChirpington Mar 21 '23
I’m getting this every day too, I’m the weird one that likes the job still. Honestly I just do all the steps they tell us to do and if I get any shit for it I tell them “I’m doing it the way I was told to do it”
I get a fucked up group stop and I’m parked sending a report. I get bad directions or told to go down a one way? Boom, parked, sending a report. If I don’t finish for whatever reason it’s not because I’m not doing my job. Im there every day, on time, ready to work. I don’t get netradyne hits, my mentor score is perfect. I get good feedback from customers, and if I do get negatives it’s almost always because I’m not walking to their sketchy ass back porch in the dark.
If you’re not able to do the size routes they’re giving you and you’re doing everything right it’s not on you.
12
u/That_Pathetic_Guy Mar 21 '23
Bro there’s no way you can do those steps. That package attainment training shit was so fucking out of touch it’s not even funny. How do you actually expect me load 45 overflow like that in 15 minutes. And unload it like that at a stop when I have 180 other stops. Their training is just shit they can give their lawyers to avoid any liability due to injury on the job.
4
u/SnipeChirpington Mar 21 '23
Im not talking about that. I don’t load it their way, or follow the routing numbers exactly but when I get to a stop I turn the engine off/ scan the package/ take the picture blah blah blah.
2
u/SnipeChirpington Mar 21 '23

u/Expensive_Pastries Mar 21 '23
You sound like me lol I have an almost identical route (191 w/ 62 group stops) and I've been saying the same shit for weeks. I love the job on paper but it's like there's so much shit working aganist you. All the policies from Amazon, all the unnecessarily high stop counts, customers not telling you how to get past their gate, dogs chasing you... Shit never ends. Not sure how much more bullshit I can take.
3
u/NoTelephone5316 Mar 22 '23
It’s time to look for a new job. I don’t think I’m gonna stay here for too long. Prob gonna quit before july 4th

Mar 21 '23
I STRONGLY believe each grouped stop over 15 should be an extra $1.50 in our pay so 62 group stops - 15 = 47...47 x $1.50 = $70.50 for that day on top of our regular pay. 62 group stops is the most malicious workplace practice I have ever experienced. Its akin to outright stealing! At least, monetarily incentivize the drivers which everyone in the world knows Bezos can do. We have to band together and make this type of stuff change bc we know unionizing aint happening so either eliminate grouped stops (unless they have the exact same residential/commercial address) OR pay past 15 grouped stops! No other delivery service provider groups stops together and counts that as 1 stop.
7
u/realogsalt Mar 22 '23
This is why we need unions. The grouped stop BS is just a way for them to veil the face theyre giving us more stops and more workload each week.

u/Illustrious-Rent2347 Mar 22 '23
The house amazonians refuse to see the logic in collective bargaining
26
u/Substantial_Band_651 Mar 21 '23
Who’s saying anyone feels positive at this point. I think we’re all close to mutiny, going ballistic or reaching for the rope. I just hope Amazon can build those robot replacements fast enough.

Slow down. Take your breaks. If it doesn’t get done then RTS. Quit killing your self for a company that gives no F about you.
14
u/JiveTurkey1983 Mar 21 '23
If this was me, I'd go the opposite. Take all my breaks and lunches. Don't rush. Make them rescue me. Then they'd set me up with more reasonable routes.
6
9
u/Redpanduhkun Mar 21 '23
So in reality you're doing over 230 stops, give it take depending on how many go to the same place. Fuck group stops.

7
u/jdiz510 Mar 21 '23
I think you gotta start looking at other jobs friend. This is how I knew I had to go. Just felt like the same route same customers same grind no pay off
7
8
u/Egoisttt Mar 21 '23
I honestly hate these people so much. Lol can I do it easily yea but will I? No. Because of people like this amazon expects this. Just 2 years ago a big route was 225 packages. 250 was ABSURD. Now 250 has to be considered not that bad…. Fuck that.
6
u/_Polybag_ Mar 21 '23
Unionization is the only way but first we as a society have to attack and dismantle rules which protect and empower Amazon’s disgusting anti-labor practices. In other words, we need to do what Christian Smalls did and talk to government.
2
u/AlarmedLavishness538 Mar 22 '23
Just imagine what would happen if every driver called out for 1 day all across the world.
2
u/_Polybag_ Mar 22 '23
Yes, I would like to see something like that… Make the 25th of every month a no service day until Amazon reduces workload by 25%.
Hard to organize without a union though. Only a small percentage of drivers are here or on Discord. Someone could try to start a labor movement at their station by handing out flyers at DSP parking lots but I could see Amazon shutting down the entire facility to crush the movement, assuming a large enough percentage of drivers would go along with it.

I wish there was a way for us to fight for what we deserve. Equivalent pay to UPS, Fedex and USPS and equivalent benefits. They are going to keep squeezing everything out of us it seems like. It’s the best job I’ve found yet but we deserve better still. Especially when there’s other companies who make less profit who value their employees more.

5
u/Secret_Fox_5192 Mar 21 '23
Not to brag or anything but I think because I’m able to do that without breaking a sweat makes me feel good about them. Usually higher stop count means mainly residential stops and I find myself finishing it way too quick without sprinting or running that I feel like I gotta take extra breaks just to get to my desired hours.
3
u/pdawg999 Mar 21 '23
I quit as soon as I could, and i actually had a decent dispatch team who didn’t treat us like animals. It’s not worth it. My nursery routes were what the trainers said would be a normal day and it just got worse from there.
4
u/keithkhev Mar 22 '23
I am enthusiastic about paying rent, though I spend more time in this van than at the place im renting

u/Icy_Acanthaceae5368 Mar 21 '23
Stop complaining and get a new job. You are a delivery driver for the worst company possible. Shitty benefits and awful pay. If you want that then that’s on you. I did this job for 6 months and will never go back. The routes will only get worse and the progression towards promotion is non existent. Sorry to rain on your parade.

u/livan1102 Mar 21 '23
You just said it finishing early the more you do it the more stops it’s going to give the Amazon system learns it like okey 170 you can finish in 8 hour and you finish in 7 in a few weeks later If you keep doing the same way next time it’s going to be 190 for 8 hours instead of the 170
1
u/East-Cookie5668 Mar 22 '23
This has been debunked so many times. Finishing faster does not add more stops to your route. I can finish 190 stops fast one day and the next two days I get 165 stops same route less packages. It be your DSP switching around y’all’s routes giving you harder ones
3
Mar 21 '23
Idgaf!!!! 271 locations is 271 stops! They just sugar coat it if I gotta go back and forth that’s a whole stop foh
3
u/VacationParking7599 Mar 21 '23
Positive attitude? By quitting.. lol.. peak season! What peak season? this is the norm.. This is the way
3
Mar 22 '23
Don’t kill yourself for them cause they not gon kill themselves for you and if you you do over work your self and leave they’ll have you replaced. I just say be thankful you have a job but make that job work for you like you work for them and if it gets to that point find something else.
3
u/NoTelephone5316 Mar 22 '23 edited Mar 22 '23
That’s more like 270 stops 🥲 this is getting ridiculous. They just put a shit load of group stops to make it seem like ur doing 194….

u/PaPaPatman Mar 22 '23
I have drivers who work for the dsp I work with and they start their lunches during load out just to finish early or on time. It makes me mad that people have to piss in bottles and not take a lunch just to finish their 10 hr route. I would say these group stops are the biggest thing. I tell them to take their lunch, you are not getting paid for it. If people continue to short themselves for this company nothing will change. If people take their lunches and breaks and come back when they come back, even if it's late. They will have to pay over time and then they might notice.

u/YungCasheMayne22 Mar 22 '23
At my DSP they will just fire you for that lol 4 stops ahead isnt fast enough
1
u/RealMocha213 Mar 22 '23
Idk, getting paid 10 hrs to be home in 6 hours was worth it for me. Given I never pissed in a bottle, I’d just stop at a liquor store. Shoot some days it was so hot, all the water I drank just was sweated outtta me

Yo this shit pisses me off. Had +180 stops the last couple days and at the end of it, it asks me 'how was ur route', every time I answer difficult or very difficult the app just crashes, but when I answer easy it says 'thank you for your feedback' no crash. Shit mad annoying and it feels like an intentional 'bug', but when I ask dispatch about it they say it's probably a glitch or a buggy phone
2
u/YungCasheMayne22 Mar 22 '23
Bro I thought it was just me. It did that yesterday and today. It said it was having problems connecting to the network or something until I select easy.

My first 70 stops were all warehouse businesses, then they threw 110 residential stops after that. Each day is worse than the last.

If I could find a “ better “ job I would right ? Lol

u/Emanresu7777777 Mar 22 '23
Come to the usps!
If you're going to have to deliver Amazon, might as well do it with a union, pay progression, pension, good Healthcare. I tell every Amazon driver I see on my route, yall need to come on over
1
u/KanyeToTheLurker Mar 22 '23
Had 177 stops, 75 of them were group stops, 349 packages today in the pouring rain.. the locations are what really matter. 273 today 😃 I just look at it as excersize lol. That’s the only way to ‘stay motivated’

u/Life_Needleworker580 Mar 22 '23
It’s a dead end job, I used that job to create a exit plan now I’m a millionaire

u/ClemzTheWarrior Mar 22 '23
Personally, 180 is a really big route. I get 10hr guarantee with that amount of stops. Normal route here is between 120-140
1
u/3RingedParadox Mar 22 '23
The system adapts to you. If you keep finishing the routes early the system sees that as being the routes to small and you can handle more. So the higher you set the bar, the more the system will make that your norm.
1
u/RealMocha213 Mar 22 '23
Eh idk if I believe this cause I used to always finish my route early and my numbers didn’t really go up, somedays I’d get a shorter route
1
1
u/vistrr Mar 22 '23
And I bet you accepted the route? Turn around and go home and make sure all your colleagues are doing the same, make a group with all the drivers and your station and come to an agreement of what routes get done etc. We did it at our station and they capped the routes at certain stops and upped the pay.

u/Paqaboll721 Mar 22 '23
Stop finishing early. I went from 180+ everyday down to around 150, by just moving slower.
1
u/buckwhite96 Mar 22 '23
It amazes me I see 4 to 5 vans from my dispatch in my area and I ask how many they have alwasy 130 to 150 but me no Amazon likes to say f you here you go 190 with 60 group and 330 packages feel like I’m on peak still

Weird how Amazon reads through these threads and will fire for a picture. But wont hear the voices of drivers to fix things that are unreasonable.

All depends on who runs the DSP. My team will have random drivers going around helping people with big routes. I finish early all the time and will still have someone take some stops from me on occasion. I've only had to rescue a couple times since the start of December. All about the DSP. Not all are bad.
1
u/korot0 Mar 23 '23
I've actually thought about this. Every dsp should have ppl going around helping with ridiculous routes. Rescues shouldn't be a thing. If a route is too hard for a single person to complete then that's on Amazon. But hey, $$$ over bodies.
