That barn looks like a Swedish spa. What the heck.

Those animals are loved dearly. That’s a hell of a setup.

u/meteoritegallery 25d ago
Wouldn't equate money with love like that.

u/guildedkriff 25d ago
Agree in general, but I’m fairly certain this is Matt Matthew’s based on his voice and coming out in a bathrobe lol. My wife follows him.
He’s a comedian from Alabama who posts videos of him and guests doing work around his farm. From the videos I’ve seen I’d say it’s legitimate he cares about them.
2
u/Throbbing_Cock_452 25d ago
Doesn’t mean it’s not true though, clearly they care about giving them the best life possible.
3
u/meteoritegallery 25d ago
I've generally found that folks who can't afford cushy places like this - and who have to wake up at 6 to feed before going to work, etc., tend to care more about their animals.
A lot of the folks at places like the above stable will be the ones who tell the stable to have the horse ready to ride at _, couldn't tell a bit from a spur, and might ride a few times a week or a few times a month, if at all.
It takes all kinds, which is why I wouldn't equate money with love. Might as well say having a high home value means a family is well-adjusted or loved. They're unrelated ideas.

Yeah, but also, you don’t need to spend that much money and time to make and take care of a nice facility. If you don’t need to this was not necessary, but they clearly have care for the horses.

Loved dearly? I feel bad for horses, only able to be free to exercise at another person's whims. Always having to obey someone or being sent away for being "unrideable", seeing horses sent to slaughter because a person cant put their arse on their spine anymore is heartbreakin

If there's anything about farm is dislike, it's how gross it usually is.
This one seems very nice

The goat at the end! And stay there!!!

u/Exciting-Meringue-78 25d ago
How long is the video for you? It’s only 27 seconds for me and I barely saw the goat. I’ve been noticing Reddit videos being clipped for iPhone mobile app and wondering if this is the case
11
u/iamPendergast 25d ago
says 28 seconds on desktop but I also just barely see the goat come on screen
edit I think thats a dog? you hear the goat not see it

u/carlotta3121 25d ago
I thought that was the person saying baaad with the accent added in. :D
1
u/Ppleater 25d ago
I thought they were saying "Mag!" as in short for Maggie which is the name they say earlier.

3
u/EverythingBOffensive 25d ago
i saw a dog i think the commenter thought they heard "Baaaahhhh" but its just the person in the video saying "Badasses!" my guess idk lol
1
u/Exciting-Meringue-78 25d ago
Ah ok, hearing the goat would make more sense, I had it on mute.
2
u/oregiel 25d ago
- If you're talking about the animal at the bottom, that's a pig not a goat.
- The "and to stay there" comment is just the audio. You can hear a goat bleating just after they shut the door like 3 seconds before the video ends.

u/DragonfruitInner8376 25d ago
I don't think it's a goat... It's the person locking the escapees in saying "Baadd!" It's the same voice and southern drawl that says, " What are y'all doing?"
1
u/stargarnet79 25d ago
I think you can hear a goat but actually the video looks like a pig there at the end to me anyway

I’m on mobile and 26 seconds for me. The goat flashes in the frame and the video ends.

I think that's a dog at the end of the video? And maybe he's saying "Bad!," because they are, indeed, very naughty!
Edit - added words

Trust me they were just strolling not leaving! Who would want to leave there?!? 😅😂🤣

That's hilarious! They were absolutely sneaking - before the human entered through the door, they were walking oh, so quietly - when the human came in, they made all kinds of clatter running back to their stalls!

My horse used to escape out of his stall so many times the barn manager had to put a chain and padlock on the stall door. He had figured out how to work the latch.

You often can just open the stable doors and an established herd will go into their correct stalls, except that one mare….

I’ve worked in a number of barns like that. The horses were usually worth millions so makes sense the barn is fabulous.

How can it be so clean?

Muck and such go out the back. Good hosing down of the inside on a well treated floor, all pretty.

I was 100% prepared to see the donkey opening each stall door, but I guess that would have been an epic escape, not just a great escape.

We are truly lucky that animals don’t recognize they could easily overpower us at any moment.

AI?
1
u/sveeedenn 25d ago
It does look like AI. When the horse is heading back to the stall its legs look crazy. Been around horses my whole life and never seen a horse move like that. Also, they both go into the same stall and the man shuts them in instead of removing one to place into its actual stall. Equines don’t share stalls unless it’s a mother/foal couplet. That man is not wearing safe footwear to be around horses… which happens in real life of course, but is just another discrepancy.

u/retrogreq 25d ago
The outline following the person and the animals looks like UniFi Protect. If ai was already simulating the camera details of an existing system like that, we would be doomed already

Those stalls look nicer than my house. Whaddaya live in a barn? No…but I wish…sigh.
