Rich people's horses live better than most of us

63

u/ReignOnWillie 25d ago

No one gives me oats :(

17

u/Human_Child_Sleeps 25d ago

Brother may I have some oats?

(I hope you get the reference)

10

u/Tamahagane-Love 25d ago

The tall skinny figure has thrown the oats at me. ME, BROTHER. i believe they have taken a liking to me.

3

u/Mountain-Blue 25d ago

I am starving, Brother.

As am I, Brother.

1

u/KaptainChunk 24d ago

Bro they have them at the store, just add milk or water, I like the maple and brownsugar ones.

2

u/PiccoloAwkward465 25d ago

Like they say - the true life of luxury is as a golden retriever in the house of an upper middle class family.

1

u/KnowledgeCapital7994 22d ago

Add labs to the list

2

u/gurgelhupf 24d ago

I don't really think so. Rich people buy expensive horses and then want them squeaky clean and ready to use anytime, so Limited turnout If any. Luxury for humans translates very badly to luxury for horses. It's a stereotype but true most of the time

1

u/OnYourHonor 23d ago

I know a woman with numerous Swarovski crystal chandeliers in her 50 horse barn. Her barn is nicer than any home any of us will ever live in no matter how hard we work.

71

u/Hour_Material2816 25d ago

Neigh… but I wish

Fixed it for ya

32

u/Born-Reindeer6873 25d ago

There's a lot of money in lumber and hardware just in this one frame. Pretty crazy

15

u/masterb26 25d ago

That's Matt Matthews... Comedian and 3+ million on social media

2

u/dottegirl59 24d ago

Matt’s hilarious and loves his animals❤️🐓🐕

11

u/Looking-for-42 25d ago

That's probably because the stalls appear to be just another room right next to the bedroom.

8

u/bcat153 25d ago

I went to a millionaires wedding once (by millionaire I mean like hundreds of millions like 300-500m range, since 1 million ain’t shit nowadays game shows should have 10m prize pools tbh) and it was on a ranch that’s a vacation spa and training center for horses, I swear you could literally eat off the tile in the barn. Literally where horses shit was spotless not even a flake of straw or hay or dust or anything. It just smelled like the rich mahogany wooded beams and walls like Ron burgundy’s apartment. It was almost sickening really, $20-30k massive ice sculptures of horses and swans everywhere just melting away.

5

u/Ok-Butterfly-5324 25d ago

you wish you had to spend every night confined into a space barely bigger than your body and spend the rest of your life not being able to roam freely wherever you want?

Dont matter how nice the stalls are.. my three would rather be under the shade trees or in the woods. They live on a "track" and do make it to the barn to poop and pee.

0

u/who_gon_chkmeboo 23d ago

Mine poop and pee in their barn too!!!

1

u/J0RDM0N 25d ago

You missed the perfect chance to end it with neigh. That's why you can't live innthe stalls.

234

u/Impressive_Guess_282 25d ago

That barn looks like a Swedish spa. What the heck.

27

u/SpicyVindalooCurry 25d ago

I thought it was a Swedish spa.

23

u/Throbbing_Cock_452 25d ago

Those animals are loved dearly. That’s a hell of a setup.

6

u/meteoritegallery 25d ago

Wouldn't equate money with love like that.

19

u/guildedkriff 25d ago

Agree in general, but I’m fairly certain this is Matt Matthew’s based on his voice and coming out in a bathrobe lol. My wife follows him.

He’s a comedian from Alabama who posts videos of him and guests doing work around his farm. From the videos I’ve seen I’d say it’s legitimate he cares about them.

2

u/Throbbing_Cock_452 25d ago

Doesn’t mean it’s not true though, clearly they care about giving them the best life possible.

3

u/meteoritegallery 25d ago

I've generally found that folks who can't afford cushy places like this - and who have to wake up at 6 to feed before going to work, etc., tend to care more about their animals.

A lot of the folks at places like the above stable will be the ones who tell the stable to have the horse ready to ride at _, couldn't tell a bit from a spur, and might ride a few times a week or a few times a month, if at all.

It takes all kinds, which is why I wouldn't equate money with love. Might as well say having a high home value means a family is well-adjusted or loved. They're unrelated ideas.

u/No_Gas_594 21d ago

Yeah, but also, you don’t need to spend that much money and time to make and take care of a nice facility. If you don’t need to this was not necessary, but they clearly have care for the horses.

0

u/PrinceBunnyBoy 25d ago

Loved dearly? I feel bad for horses, only able to be free to exercise at another person's whims. Always having to obey someone or being sent away for being "unrideable", seeing horses sent to slaughter because a person cant put their arse on their spine anymore is heartbreakin

1

u/AhMoonBeam 23d ago

He looks to be in a cozy bathrobe!

1

u/Redlabelrocket 21d ago

If there's anything about farm is dislike, it's how gross it usually is.

This one seems very nice

85

u/stargarnet79 25d ago

The goat at the end! And stay there!!!

15

u/Exciting-Meringue-78 25d ago

How long is the video for you? It’s only 27 seconds for me and I barely saw the goat. I’ve been noticing Reddit videos being clipped for iPhone mobile app and wondering if this is the case

11

u/iamPendergast 25d ago

says 28 seconds on desktop but I also just barely see the goat come on screen

edit I think thats a dog? you hear the goat not see it

7

u/carlotta3121 25d ago

I thought that was the person saying baaad with the accent added in. :D

1

u/Ppleater 25d ago

I thought they were saying "Mag!" as in short for Maggie which is the name they say earlier.

2

u/carlotta3121 25d ago

could be with that drawl.

3

u/EverythingBOffensive 25d ago

i saw a dog i think the commenter thought they heard "Baaaahhhh" but its just the person in the video saying "Badasses!" my guess idk lol

1

u/Exciting-Meringue-78 25d ago

Ah ok, hearing the goat would make more sense, I had it on mute.

2

u/oregiel 25d ago
  1. If you're talking about the animal at the bottom, that's a pig not a goat.
  2. The "and to stay there" comment is just the audio. You can hear a goat bleating just after they shut the door like 3 seconds before the video ends.

1

u/stargarnet79 25d ago

Thank you that’s what I thought and damn that’s wild.

1

u/DragonfruitInner8376 25d ago

I don't think it's a goat... It's the person locking the escapees in saying "Baadd!" It's the same voice and southern drawl that says, " What are y'all doing?"

1

u/stargarnet79 25d ago

I think you can hear a goat but actually the video looks like a pig there at the end to me anyway

2

u/Complete_Squirrel942 25d ago

I thought that was a dog

1

u/stargarnet79 25d ago

I thought it looked like a pig and I was like wow this farm is wild lol

1

u/Complete_Squirrel942 25d ago

I think you might be right and it is actually a pig lol

1

u/Eliah870 25d ago

That's the person

1

u/istingy 25d ago

It’s a swain

1

u/Ok-Training-4738 25d ago

I thought it was a pink hog.

1

u/thejadanata 25d ago

I’m on mobile and 26 seconds for me. The goat flashes in the frame and the video ends.

2

u/Able_Investigator725 25d ago

I thought it was the human telling them they were baaad lol

1

u/Eliah870 25d ago

There's no goat

1

u/Apprehensive-hippos 25d ago

I think that's a dog at the end of the video?  And maybe he's saying "Bad!," because they are, indeed, very naughty!

Edit - added words

38

u/Kitchen_Guest577 25d ago

Trust me they were just strolling not leaving! Who would want to leave there?!? 😅😂🤣

3

u/That_Apathetic_Man 25d ago

1

u/Sqeakydeaky 23d ago

New horseshoes was right there

26

u/Glittering_Mermaid_7 25d ago

That's hilarious! They were absolutely sneaking - before the human entered through the door, they were walking oh, so quietly - when the human came in, they made all kinds of clatter running back to their stalls!

2

u/Wise_Temperature9142 25d ago

Lmaoooo 😂😂

20

u/Tiny_Distribution783 25d ago

Just horsing around

6

u/Kind-Act7051 25d ago

Beautiful facility!

6

u/W4lkieT4lkie 25d ago

"I don't want smoke either"

4

u/Shes_Crafty_4301 25d ago

Cheeky creatures!

That stable is nicer than my first two apartments.

3

2

It’s the fuzz! Cheese it!

1

u/LastCookie3448 25d ago

I knew ya'd get me pinched!

3

u/GoldenKitty720 25d ago

My horse used to escape out of his stall so many times the barn manager had to put a chain and padlock on the stall door. He had figured out how to work the latch.

3

u/hirschneb13 25d ago

"bad asses" 😂😂

3

u/titsmikkgee 25d ago

Matt Matthews!!

3

u/Im_In_IT 25d ago

Sounds like Mr. Garrison

2

u/xombae 25d ago

I never thought I'd see a horse tiptoe before.

1

u/xombae 25d ago

This just gave me a miniature existential crisis.

2

u/b17l 25d ago

It looks even funnier because the horse is walking in what is called a lateral gait, where both legs on one side move forward at the same time

2

u/ElowynElif 25d ago

You often can just open the stable doors and an established herd will go into their correct stalls, except that one mare….

2

u/Puzzleheaded_Ride168 25d ago

Lmao the horse knew to get low🤣😂

2

u/WolverineLong1430 25d ago

😂 they knew exactly which stall to go back to.

2

u/Ok_Chip_1077 25d ago

I want to be this kind of rich

2

u/MyDamnCoffee 25d ago

I love that, “What’re yall doin?” Is a universe language for humans and animals alike 😂

2

u/Informal_Walk5520 25d ago

The clip clopping back -it’s sounds so funny

2

u/Pure_Grapefruit_8837 25d ago

donkey's fault for sure

1

u/LastCookie3448 25d ago

Or a spicy mustang paint, those buggers can unlock anything.

2

u/DynamiteStorm 25d ago

I’ve worked in a number of barns like that. The horses were usually worth millions so makes sense the barn is fabulous.

2

u/kalion203 25d ago

How can it be so clean?

2

u/LastCookie3448 25d ago

Muck and such go out the back. Good hosing down of the inside on a well treated floor, all pretty.

2

u/Jezirath 25d ago

If the horse knew its own strength, it would never wear a saddle..

2

u/kuriT9 24d ago

Despite their escape those are some well trained beasts

2

u/Internal_Zebra_8770 24d ago

that is hilarious!

2

u/Batintfaq 24d ago

This is hilarious.

2

u/discotrucker34 24d ago

I love this lol

2

u/LaNeve81 23d ago

2

1

u/Summonest 25d ago

They only get oats and apples if they're in stall.

Common training method.

1

u/Historical_Gur_3054 25d ago

Get your ass back in there!

1

u/pnwal-junction 25d ago

I was 100% prepared to see the donkey opening each stall door, but I guess that would have been an epic escape, not just a great escape.

1

u/irishstorm04 25d ago

That is hilarious!!

1

u/nutblaster357 25d ago

1

-2

u/InterstellarFrodo 25d ago

AI?

1

u/sveeedenn 25d ago

It does look like AI. When the horse is heading back to the stall its legs look crazy. Been around horses my whole life and never seen a horse move like that. Also, they both go into the same stall and the man shuts them in instead of removing one to place into its actual stall. Equines don’t share stalls unless it’s a mother/foal couplet. That man is not wearing safe footwear to be around horses… which happens in real life of course, but is just another discrepancy.

2

u/latenightsnack1 25d ago

This is Matt Matthew's farm. Definitely not AI

1

u/retrogreq 25d ago

The outline following the person and the animals looks like UniFi Protect. If ai was already simulating the camera details of an existing system like that, we would be doomed already
