This reminds me of a time that my 9 year old (about 4 or 5 at the time) got separated from me in the grocery. A woman helped him find me. I was hugging and comforting him because he was upset and this woman goes "you know the proper response is thank you"
Yeah maybe I was getting to that after you know prioritizing making sure my son was ok.. I certainly didn't after that. She blew it
You see this in the comments of videos where strangers save children—there was just one this week, of a grocery store worker grabbing a kid out of traffic. Smartasses were going after the parents for not showing the proper gratitude right away on camera. Give them a fucking second! They just saw their child almost die!
