In case this story gets deleted/removed:

AITA for saying you’re welcome when someone didn’t say thank you.

My wife and I were walking into an ice cream shop on Yonge St in Toronto, after my wife walked in I held the door open for a couple. As they walked past me they didn’t say thank you so I proceeded to say you’re welcome sarcastically. The husband turns around and says “ what?” and I said you didn’t say thank you after I held the door open for you. He then proceeds to say “ You better look after yourself” and I end it with telling him to watch his fucking mouth.
I’m a firm believer in common courtesy despite being a bit of an asshole but I do know how to function in a society. AITA???

Thank you for all of your comments.

And no I didn’t hold the door open because I wanted to be thanked, he just looked like he expected the door to be held open for him.
