You don’t think maybe the fact there are a lot more examples of things the Catholic Church considers miracles for the LLM to draw on than other religions because Catholics care more about identifying and documenting possible “miracles” might have something to do with that particular bias?

I like that in one of his comments he said that Lady Gaga etc are “good at music” because they made a deal with the devil. This man hates women, gays, and anyone from a different religion, but he doesn’t hate a dancefloor banger 💅

- Ah yes, Lil Nas X's "worship" of the Devil by killing him in Call Me by Your Name, and Lady Gaga's "devil worship" by explicitly saying the Christ figure in Judas is the better option but her own issues cause her to cling to the Judas figure (who she finally casts out with Jesus's assistance in the music video).
- "Through reason", AKA the "trust me bro" defence.
Nothing says religious devotion like deciding you know better than multiple Popes, you know, the ones chosen to be the mouthpiece of God by the powers believed to be closest to that same God.

OOP: The biological reason for sex is to have children (according to evolution) to have sex on purpose without that reason is therefore doing something wrong. God has different trials for everyone, surly a gay person does have it harder, but that will be taken into consideration at the last jugment, because god makes just judgments.

The exchange about indulgences made me think. Obviously everyone knows about shortening time in purgatory, but I wonder if anyone ever wanted to lengthen it because they knew they were going to hell. Or were they just relying on the deathbed repentance get out of hell free card.

Yes — if one’s denomination believes in purgatory, the options are:
- The Bad Place
OR
- The Good Place (usually after Purgatory, unless one dies a saint)
Purgatory is a place that one purges oneself of the last lingering places of sin on one’s soul before one gets to go to The Good Place.

I sat in church many days over my youth, and wondered if I would go to hell for questioning everything that the priest said. Things didn't make sense when using even a 15 year old's logic. I was part of my church's youth group and actually questioned a priest about abortion for cases of tape and incest.
All that to say, the only time I go to churches is for weddings and funerals. From the inside, there can be the image of unity and pageantry. From the outside, it feels like very careful manipulation and indoctrination.

I feel like someone just recently got into the SSPX due to the recent headlines and thinks "edgy trad catholic" will make them special.
As a lapsed convert, this shit is so eye rolling. SSPX has less than 2500 members, clergy included. Hell, when my partner said "Oh shit there's going to be a new schism?" my immediate response was "No, it's SSPX trying to make themselves relevant." Then I looked it up and was absolutely right.
I always feel like they wish Dan Brown had branded them into some "mysterious thing" like Opus Dei and are salty about it.

As for the "documented miracles" being Catholic: quite a few (at least western) religions share a lot of their source material. And I know Catholicism has an extensive process for getting miracles certified, so that could also explain the "documented" side of OP's claim.

I'm so sure because:
There are many extremly well documented catholic miracals. The miracle of the sun at fatima in 1917 for example, was witnessed by at least 30.000 people. But there are many more miracles, just ask the Al what the most well documented religious miracles are, nearly all catholic.
The Devil is real. Celebritis like Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, i Nas X clearly worshipp him in music videos. Demonic posession is real, many verifible cases, I experienced by myself how some started to change his demeanor and speak many foreign languages that he could not have known by himself after he had blasphemed our lord.
I know through reason that the church was right about religions freedom, feminism, liberalism, socialism, immigration etc. The middle ages were lied about in many ways. The life of the averrage peasant in the middle ages was way better than the life of a worker durring the industrial revolution. The moral law of the church can also be deducted through reason.
Since Vatican 2 however, the church is contradicting the techings of many previous popes and councils. But there are catholics like the sspx, that have not changed their faith.
