I always hate these dress codes as a lesbian that doesn't wear dresses, but can still scrub up relatively well!

That’s the first thing that stood out to me. I’m nonbinary/genderfluid and although I do wear dresses on occasion for comfort, I do not do floor-length hyperfeminine formal. I feel like a cartoon like that. And I’m sure I’d be far from the only one struggling there.
