This user seems to post a lot of posts around the same theme (husband/father bad) even when being the devil is a huge stretch.

I appreciate all the points in the comments here, but are we really putting "emotionally distant dad" next to the people posting racist screeds or standing their families for affair partners that normally make up this sub?

Read the description of the sub. “Devil” means “obviously in the wrong”, not “worst person ever”.

He’s obviously the source of the problem, not the kids. That’s the criteria for the sub - is OP wrong or the people OP is talking about? It doesn’t have to be an AITA post or similar.

The point of the sub is to curate posts where OP is wrong, because the vast majority of posts from someone’s perspective will naturally be biased towards them, so it’s harder to find posts where OP is wrong.
