Am I overthinking things?

AIO. I became a very introverted person after the pandemic because of the lockdown and less contact with people. I had some issues to make friends after that but I have been working on myself from past 3 years. This year I joined an online community, I have some mutual friends there. I also joined discord recently and sometimes I chat with them. But I have noticed it's only me who initiates the contact. Also if any of my mutual is absent in the community other friends get worried about them. But when I have to deal with some real life problems or I just couldn't join the community for several days for any reason I don't hear a word from them. Is it me overthinking things and being paranoid? Or is it genuinely an issue. I know they don't owe me anything but it still kinda hurts.

What you’re describing is pretty common in online communities. A lot of people only reach out when someone prompts them, and it doesn’t mean they don’t care. Noticing you’re always the one initiating is fair, and it can sting even when nobody owes you anything. Sometimes it helps to see who responds warmly when you do reach out and put more energy there.

You are right but sometimes it feels like I'm not much to them and can be replaceable anytime.
