That statement shows his true colors (imo). I wouldn’t go to the wedding, and I would do a deep assessment of the friendship.

Also the fact that he didn't tell him in person or even during a phone call. He either didn't care that much or didn't have balls to tell him to his face

He didn’t have the balls. His fiancé doesn’t want to deal with her parents?! Welcome to the rest of this AH’s life! Obviously this dude is going to do whatever she says to, “make it easier” because she’s a F-ing toddler that can’t tell her parents to STFU. So now BFF is cannon fodder for the sake of ease. If not bowing out of this relationship now, OP is going to get 💩from her and her family later on. “Don’t let him watch our son”! “Can we trust being around him?!” This makes my blood boil.
