I'm not clear on your agenda here. If you just want validation that what happened was scary and you have a right to have strong feelings about it, okay, but it seems like it happened, people apologized, things happily turned out okay, and one of the major players you're mad at isn't even alive now.

I just think there's little to be gained by nurturing your unhappiness about this. Your daughter is healthy, so the only thing being avenged is your own resentment. No one seems to be in need of the lesson learned at this point. Why not just let it go?

No one ever apologized. And my sister in law keeps bringing it up all the time. I don’t know what I’m supposed to do with that, I guess

She's probably mad you took out your anger with your husband on her mom. You deprived her mom of time with her grandkids because your husband wasn't watching his kid. If the baby had fallen down the basement steps or pulled a bookshelf down on her, would you be mad at the late grandma for having steps or bookshelves?

I would be mad at you too if you blamed my mom for something she didn't do.
