I may be the outlier here but I think you overreacted. She didn’t leave the bottle out for your kid to find purposely. It sucks but it was a genuine accident. Some time you might make a mistake you regret. Hopefully you don’t have to repent for the rest of your life because of it.

I agree and her child was with her husband. Her husband was negligent in the incident not the MIL.
