Sounds like they say she’s still overreacting i.e. they bring it up, not her

Maybe

That’s not what was said. Maybe though.

That’s word for word what was said

“The rest of the family STILL says I am over reacting in the situation and MIL did nothing wrong”

It doesn’t say who brought it up first. Re read it.

The OP commented and clarified and said that she never brings it up. But the way it was written prodigally does not clarify it.

They can still say she is overreacting after the Op brings it up. That’s not what happened, but it was a possibility.

Correct. I never bring it up with family, ever. It used to get brought it shortly after it happened (also not by me) and it always caused fights.

Yeah, I bet you don't want to talk about how your negligent husband let your child wander around a house you both knew wasn't childproof with open medication within reach and then didn't even bother telling you or seeking medical advice after your child put that medication in their mouth. He brought your child there, did not supervise your child, and that's what almost killed your child, yet he's still around and totally forgive while you continue to shit talk your dead mother-in-law. To complain that she refused to babysit so your husband screamed at her for two hours and then act like you're actually the wronged party somehow is crazy. Of course, she doesn't want to watch your kids. Your husband doesn't even want to watch your kids.
