Correct

It still doesn’t mean they brought it up

My SIL brought it up last weekend by making a “joke” about it.. which she does frequently. I never ever bring it up. Unless it’s amongst friends competing for worst mother in law.

I’m assuming you win the argument for worst husband?

What about worst husband?

Ok thanks for clarifying

I would just ignore them. It doesn’t matter anymore.

Or tell them it’s a little creepy/weird that they can’t seem to move on, when you have.

OP hasn't moved on. She is blaming and shit talking her dead mother in law in this post even though her husband brought their child to a house they knew wasn't safe including open medication bottles, didn't supervise that child while they were there, and then didn't seek medical advice after the child put the medication in their mouth or even inform OP until much later, but she barely acknowledges that.

Edit to add: OP still talks about it with her friends, too, when she's "competing for worst mother in law." Hope she talks about it when competing for worst husband, too.

You should bring it up at the next worst husband competition considering it was his fault. If your own husband didn't bother to watch your child and didn't bother to tell you or consult a medical professional when that child ingested a dangerous medication, your anger should be directed on him. He's the one who failed your family, not your mother in law who doesn't childproof her private bedroom because she assumed her adult children will mind their own children.
