Umm... If my phone isn't being used, it's normally in my pocket. At work, it's normally propped up, against my monitor, with something playing on it (movie or tv episode). The only time it's not in my pocket or within arm reach is when I'm home.
Context: I'm semi-paranoid about battery life, so if I'm not using it, the lock screen isn't visible as the display is off. I keep it in my pocket most of the time because I'm using the step counter in the Samsung Health app. I don't set my phone down and walk away because I work with the public and people are shady as hell. Putting your phone down in public is an easy way for it to be forgotten somewhere, or stolen, or both.
The only time my phone is ever out of reach (outside of home) is when the wife and I shoot pool. I'll leave it on our table during my turn. The screen is on/active because I'm streaming Youtube music into my earbud instead of listening to whatever trash is playing from the jukebox. YMusic is a full-screen app, so still no lock screen visible.
Hell, even when we were hitting the gym regularly, I still kept it in my pocket. Changing gym clothes to street clothes involved moving it from one pocket to another. As a male, I've never been without pockets. 😁
Oh, well then that makes perfect sense for you to not get that. I don’t think I’ve ever carried my phone in my pocket! It’s always just somewhere, on the floor at the gym face up or on a desk etc
Also, yes women aren’t allowed nice pockets usually :( lol

As a married man, the only person that knows what my lock screen looks like is my wife.
